 ABSTRACT
My SIWES program was completed at a company called flip to tech, Lagos. Flip to tech
offers adequate and proper training on web design and development, using HTML, CSS,
JavaScript.HTML: Set up your coding environment using your favourite text editor, insert a
graphic within a web page, create a link within a web page, loops, strings, etc.CSS: The
course is created for beginner and advanced CSS developers alike. Learn CSS layout and
flex box, learn techniques of responsive web design, including media queries, develop skills
in analysing the usability of a website, understand principles and what it takes to create an
effective web page, understand style flexibility and reusability. JavaScript: Build good and
modern interface, understand JavaScript fundamentals: variables, if /else, operators,
Boolean logic, functions, arrays, objects. In summary it is the universal mark-up language
for the web, it lets you format text, add graphics, create links, input forms, frames and tables
etc and save it in a text file that any browser can read and display. For more information on
HTML. Learn HTML Using Notepad or TextEdit: Web pages can be created and modified by
using professional HTML editors. However, for learning HTML i recommend a simple text editor like
Notepad (PC) or TextEdit (Mac).I believe that using a simple text editor is a good way to learn
HTML
During my time at flip to tech I was able to gain insight and knowledge on how to combine HTML,
CSS AND JAVASCRIPT to create a user interactive web page. Basically, I learnt front-end web
development at the company. My role was to learn and carefully observe the concepts and workings
of front-end web development and I also gathered a bit of knowledge on web flow too. My major
outcome and achievement is my ability to build and code to create a front-end web interface or web
page. One of the major goals of my company is to help people with little or no knowledge and give
them insight into coding and other tech innovations and solutions. That’s why they offer courses like
Web development (both front end and backend), data analysis, UI/UX designs, Graphic designs etc.
