Judging to start 8.15am sharp (Rings 8, 9 & 10 start 8.45am) NZPCA Rangiora Pony Club Show General Rules

This is an UNRESTRICTED Show open to all ridden Horses and Ponies A horse, pony or rider is eligible for Section A or B only, not both Horses and ponies may be entered in one Ring only in Section A or B (with exception of rider classes) NOVICE CLASSES - A Novice is a Horse or Pony which has 0-6 firsts in conformation classes including maiden classes at any A & P Show, Pony Club Show or Riding Club Show, at the time of the Rangiora Pony Club Show 2011 Novice Horses/ Ponies are eligible for Open Classes at the time of Rangiora Pony Club Show 2011 All Horses/ Ponies must be shown in a snaffle bit. All Unity entries must be in a snaffle bit Best New Combination classes open to combinations in their first season Measuring - In case of a query the owner must be prepared to submit the animal for measurement or produce an Annual or Life Certificate. Entry Fees $5.00 per class. Fees MUST accompany entries There will be no refunds of entry fees except where Veterinary or Medical Certificate is received by the Secretary no later than Thursday 27th February 2011 then 75% will be refunded Age is at the date of the Rangiora Pony Club Show 2011 Rangiora Pony Club members must be financial and have attended FIVE working rallies to be eligible to enter the Rangiora Pony Club classes Riding Helmets must be worn at all times when mounted. In all jumping classes riders must wear protective headgear conforming to the current NZ Safety Standards or an equivalent standard and that headgear must be secured by a retention harness. All Riders MUST wear protective headgear with a harness secured to the shell at more than 2 points. Back protectors are recommended. All competitors ride at their own risk. No responsibility is taken for any damage or loss of personal property or accidents on the day Northern A & P Association Levy of $5.00 per Horse/ Pony Ribbons will be awarded at the judges discretion in all classes Open Ring Championships First Prize winners in the novice and open conformation classes parade for Championship. Once the Champion has been decided the second place getter to the Champion will also parade for the judging of Reserve Champion Disciplinary action will be taken if any person purposely jabs a Horse/ Pony in the mouth, or for excessive use of the whip, spurs or any other offensive behaviour which is witnessed The Committee has the right to alter/delete/combine any classes, decline entries it sees fit and remove any Horse/ Pony it considers dangerous Stallions are not permitted to enter Only Horses/ Ponies entered in the show are permitted on the grounds. No Horses/ Ponies under 3yrs of age are permitted to enter All protests must be submitted no later than half an hour after the incident that gave rise to the protest and must be accompanied by a $20.00 deposit, refundable if the protest is sustained. Riders are to be ready to enter ring before the start time. Classes will not be unduly held up where riders are competing in more than one ring The sending of an entry denotes acceptance of the above conditions NO DOGS are permitted on the grounds. Failure to comply will result in DISQUALIFICATION

LEAD REIN RULES (Open to Ponies not over 148cm. Pony must be over 5 years old)
26. 27. 28. 29. 30. 31. 32. 33. Riders to be 4 years and not over 9 years of age at date of Rangiora Pony Club Show 2012 Lead must be attached to a halter or noseband of a simple snaffle bridle. No Pelhams or Kimblewicks allowed. Spurs are not allowed, WHIPS: If you must carry one, MUST be either a short cane or a 75cm whip (including a wide flapper) NO LONG or dressage whips allowed. Ponies to be 128cm and under Handler must be 16yrs and over Handler must be at least 4 to 5 feet from Pony while leading Combinations in this section not eligible to compete in any other section

Conformation of mount will not necessarily be considered in the Lead Rein section. A relaxed happy partnership between rider and pony and leader is the aim in this section Any lead rein pony MUST NOT be ridden off the lead or will be disqualified Champion Lead Rein Pony is not eligible for Supreme Champion Pony. Riders entered in this ring are not eligible for any classes in the First Ridden section.

(i.e. one Rangiora P.C. show to the next RPC show) Pony to be ridden in a snaffle bridle, no Pelhams or Kimblewicks allowed, NO Dressage whips allowed. Conformation of mount will not necessarily be considered Classes will not be asked to canter as a group, but riders may be asked to canter individually. Riders to leave the Ring at a WALK please.

RESTRICTED SHOWING RULES
1. The Pony or Horse must not have been placed First, Second or Third at any A & P Show, Open Show or Open Pony Club Showing Class at the Mini Circuits within the last three years. 2. The Rider must not have been placed First, Second or Third at any A & P Show, or any Open Riding Classes at Horse or Pony Shows in the last twelve months. 3. Conformation of the Pony or Horse will not be considered. Suitability of the mount for Pony Club, manners, calmness, riding and sympathy between rider and mount will be taken into consideration. 4. A Novice Restricted is the combination that has won 0-3 firsts in the Restricted classes at any Pony Club Show. 5. Competitors 21 yrs and under must be financial and current member of a Pony Club and state which Club they belong to on the entry form. 6. Adult competitors must be financial and current members of a Pony Club, Riding School or Adult Riding Club and also state this on the entry form. 7. Dress in the Restricted Rings will conform to the usual Pony Club Uniform or Adult Riding Club uniform. NO JACKETS. 8. Mounts to be shown unplaited and in a Snaffle Bit 9. Helmets will be checked (see General Rule No 13) 10. All Champions in Restricted Ring must parade for Supreme Champion
