In answer to your enquiry we are pleased to submit the following quotation based on our
general terms and conditions for the supply of machinery.
DESCRIPTION:
The Bucket elevator head consists of fabricated rigid sections, which are welded to
connecting flanges. Accessibility for inspection and / or maintenance is accomplished by an
inspection door located opposite to the drive location side and other bolted/removable
panels. The drive shaft pillow blocks are supported by heavy consoles which are welded to
the sides of the housing.
2 Self-aligning roller bearings support the drive shaft.
The drive hub is fixed to the drive shaft utilizing a heavy key and 2 set bolts.
The friction ring (in 3 sections) is attached to the drive hub by a high tensile bolted
connection. The diameter of this ring is selected so that the pressure points for chain
bushings and chain links shift with each revolution.
The friction ring is manufactured from appropriate high quality steel and subsequently
hardened. The area for material discharge at the bucket elevator head has wear resistant
liners. Between the bucket elevator head and the bucket elevator casing with the discharge
chute/flange, we will provide a heavy steel frame. This steel frame extends towards the drive
side of bucket elevator and provides a rigid support for the drive gear and motor
arrangement.
The material guide lip next to the buckets and within the bucket elevator discharge area is
adjustable for minimum gap.
The Bucket elevator boot consists of fabricated rigid sections, which are welded to the
connecting flanges and to the base frame. For accessibility during erection and for possible
necessary clean-out work during operation, we provide bolted and removable panels at the
sides of the boot.
For inspection purposes there will be 2 doors, each atleast 400 x 300 mm in size located in
the area of the tension shaft bearings blocks.
2 Ni hard sleeve bearings support the tension shaft. Bearing housings are sealed against
dust which is moving within wear resistant guides.
The tension shaft is an oversized heavy and round steel bar, which provides the
counterweight. This feature gives a smooth running of the bucket strand and provides for a
minimum load on the tension shaft bearings.
The feed chute can be attached to the cover plate in the area of bucket elevator feed point.
The bucket elevator will be anchored onto a concrete foundation or a structural steel
support. The necessary fasteners are part of our supply.

The chain is an AUMUND development for high performance bucket elevators. Chain
bushings are specially case hardened and the chain pins inductively hardened.
1 Rotation Monitor
For monitoring the operation of the bucket elevator strand, a motion detector can be
installed, comprising of :
Mounting flange for sensor attached to bucket head.
An inductive sensor is provided
Monitor to be mounted to suit local conditions.
1 Dedusting Flange
For dedusting we can provide at the bucket elevator head cover a flange for dedusting duct
connection.
An erection and maintenance casing is arranged on top of the bucket elevator boot. The
welded connection flanges will have mounting holes for bolts. The rigid fabricated casing
frame will have bolted and removable cover plates for erection and larger maintenance
requirement. For periodic checking we will provide one inspection door at the casing face.
The self supporting casings are fabricated, bent and welded in standard lengths of 3000 mm
and will have welded-on connecting flanges.
Connecting bolts and gasket materials are part of our supply.
With single casings every second pair will be stabilized by an U-channel frame.
To arrive at the proper overall casing height, a special length adapter casings set will be
provided.
Buckets
Buckets are fabricated from steel plate and welded. The bolt holes for
Bucket fastening are selected based on the chain to be used.

DESCRIPTION:
The Bucket elevator head is a steel structure with segmented hood. The bucket elevator
head has brackets with reinforcing ribs to accommodate the pillow block bearings.
The drive shaft is supported in two self-aligning roller bearings. The drive pulley is equipped
with a segmented, exchangeable rubber friction lining.
The bucket elevator head will be equipped with a total of four openings with dust-tight
closing flaps and doors for maintenance and inspection purposes.
A flange is provided to connect a dedusting line of customer's supply.
The Bucket elevator boot is manufactured in reinforced steel. The boot is equipped with
angular frame for anchoring on the ground. The required anchoring pegs are included in the
scope of supply. A total of four openings with dust-tight closing flaps and/or doors is
provided for maintenance and inspection purposes.
The material inlet is equipped with an angular frame to which the inlet chute has to be
connected. The tail axle is supported in two self-aligning roller bearings. The bearings'
housing have multiple dust seals. The take-up pulley is designed as a bar drum and bevelled
at the ends.
1 Tensioning device
Two manually adjustable tension spindles serve to align and tension the belt. The spindles
are installed outside the bucket elevator boot.
The parallel run of the belts are controlled by a toothed guide between the two side
of the bucket elevator boot in which the tensioning spindles are fixed.

1 Bucket Strand
The steel cord belt is equipped with steel wires in longitudinal and crossdirection.
The clamp connection in order to make the belt endless. The fixing of the bucket at the
metal cord, consisting of plates screws with hexagonal units and plate disc as well as a soft
rubber strip.
1 Level control
A level measuring device is installed, in order to control the level of the bucket elevator
boor.
1 Speed Control
An inductive control installed at the bucket elevator boot for the speed control. The
monitor is to be installed in the control room.
Four inductive proximity switches are installed for the straight run control of the belt. Two
switches are provided at the bucket elevator head and two at the bucket elevator boot,
respectively at the end of the belt
Assembly Casing
On top of the bucket elevator boot, for assembly and maintenance work at the bucket
elevator, a double door and an inspection opening with dust-tight doors and/or flaps are
installed. The casing is provided with two double openings and inspection openings with
dust-tight closing doors and/or flaps.
The casings are made from steel plate; they are edged and welded and equipped with
splicing angles. The connecting screws and sealing profiles are included in the quotation.
The casings are self-supporting. Concerning the double casing each second pair of casing is
stabilized by means of a framework.
