Notes :

1. Minimum tack weld length shall be 2T


2. External Clamp may be removed when 50% of the root pass bead, equally spaced in four quardants around the weld joint.
3. Maximum weave width shall be limited to 2.5 x electrode diameter
4. Preheat to 50°C minimum where moisture is present
5. Back Purge gas shall be maintained for the first two (2) layers as a minimum. Oxygen content shall be less than 2% as measured by an oxygen analyser
6. For production welds using this WPS, a minimum of 2 passes must be fully completed prior to movement of pipe can take place
7. All welding comsumables shall conform to ASME Sec-II part C and Storage & handling of welding consumables shall be in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
8. Inspection surveillance activities will be conducted to confirm qualified and approved parameter ranges are applied during production welding

10. A change in the size of the filler metal ± 0.8mm is allowed
11. The minimum values for the travel speed ranges have been calculated using the respective maximum values for voltage, current and heat input as shown above. Conversely, the maximum
values for the travel speed ranges have been calculated using the respective minimum values for voltage, current and heat input.
12. Completed weld shall not be exposed to accelerated cooling. Cool completed weld in still air.
13. NDT to be completed in accordance with API 1104 (2021) Clause. 9
