"Stephen Hawking: The unstoppable Scientist"

Stephen Hawking's inspiring story is highlighted by his ability to remain active in research and

personal life despite the challenges of ALS. He developed effective strategies for personal care,

speaking, writing, and research to overcome the functional limitations imposed by the disease.

Hawking is one of the most famous scientists and is considered as the most brilliant physicist of

all time. He revolutionized the field of physics through his work on the origin of the universe

and the black hole explosion theory. However, life did not come easy to him. At the age of 21,

Hawking was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), the degeneration of motor

neurons in the brain interfere with messages to muscles in the body, as result, his whole body

became paralyzed while he was in graduate school. Due to his condition, Dr. Hawking used

assistive technology to compensate for mobility and speech difficulties. He used a thumb switch

and a blink-switch attached to his glasses to control his computer.

As for Dr. Hawking, he said that “Keeping an active mind and maintaining a sense of humour is

the key to my survival”. We should always find a way to enjoy our life despite of all the difficulty

we faced because life is not simple, but if we can find a way to just laugh at it instead of sulking

about it, we'll be able to get passed it with smile.

Time is your most precious resource, use it well. For someone who lived for 55 years and made

a greatest contributions in a field of science that no one ever produce, Hawking always seek for

the mystery of the world. Life is a journey until death, we should explore the knowledge of the

universe, and its people because the history and contribution you made will will stay in our
planet, and someone may useq that to be their own inspiration to keep going and make their

own contributions too.

Despite Dr. Hawking's difficulty in speaking, he still inspired us to talk and share our ideas. It

was said by an interviewer that he/she pity Hawking since he's having a hard time blinking and

typing words, but that didn't stop Hawking from doing interviews and share his discoveries to

the world we lived today. The disability will not stop anyone to be useful in the society.

Last lesson I've learned from Dr. Stephen Hawking is to never give up. In life, a lot of problem

will come. Sometimes, we will think that we we will never get past it. But, giving up is never an

option, if you thought that your solution will not work, then think of other solution. Life is a

chance. A chance to live, to educate, and to inspire. Let's use the life we have to show others

how important it is to continue because everyone can make a difference.

Renowned physicist Stephen Hawking passed away on March 14th, 2018, leaving behind a

legacy of remarkable achievements, and his life story and work inspired awe and admiration

among many.
