Sounds in English

A  Listen and repeat the words and consonant sounds.

B Work in pairs. Say each word and consonant sound again. Circle the sounds that
you think you have in your language.

C Work in pairs. Say the sounds with a circle again. Do you use your tongue, lips or
the top of your mouth to make each sound?

Vowel sounds
There are twelve single vowel sounds and eight vowels with two sounds. All are
in the first units of this book, except one.

D  Listen and repeat the words and vowel sounds.
