Key Deliverables: As a Boiler Operation

 At Adani Power working as a member of Operation team, responsible for below mentioned
activities.
 Taking care of all operational equipment’s in normal operation and playing lead role
during star-up, shutdown & emergencies handling etc.
 Ensuring smooth operation of boiler during normal and emergency conditions to
prevent equipment / unit tripping/ protect equipment and personnel.
 Evolve in Boiler Tube Leakage identification.
 Follow safety guidelines including PTW systems.
 Comply with all statutory and environment norms.
 Monitor all parameters of the unit and enter periodic readings on log sheets. Summarize all
activities/events that took place during his shift in the log book.
 Follow the instructions of the Shift Charge Engineer and Shift Supervisor and coordinate with other
Operators in regard to all activities
 Be alert and take quick actions during abnormal operating conditions.
 Reporting any leakages of steam, water, oil, coal, ash, fuel gas, flue gas, air etc.
 Ensuring the correct position of piping hangers and supports.
 Inspect the unit and auxiliaries during the shift to make sure that all equipment parameters are
within limits. Report abnormalities to the Shift Supervisor/ SCE.

 Perform the periodic protection tests under the supervision of SCE/Supervisor and maintain records.
Perform equipment change over according to preset schedules.
 Switch from automatic to manual controls and isolate equipment mechanically and electrically to
allow for safe execution of repair work.
 Adjust and /or controls valves on equipment to regulate and set operations of system or industrial
processes.
 Inform and report on accidents, suggest preventive measures.
 Provide first line support to report and initial extinguishing of fires, and other emergency and critical
occurrences and keeping the CCR always informed.
 Reporting unsafe condition and unsafe act at field to competent authority.
 Proactive team member and participation in teamwork.
 Ensure housekeeping & cleanliness.
 To work any other area as assigned by shift charge engineer.
 Coordinate and ensure Lock Out & Tag Out during the isolation of equipment for maintenance as
per the approved Permit to Work procedure. Normalize the equipment after cancellation when
instructed to do so.
 Co-ordinate with maintenance, personnel for ensuring defect identification, work permit, trials
and clearance of jobs prioritized by him.
 Application of PTW to ensure the safe isolation and restoration Maintaining Log sheets,
Defect and Maintenance schedule sheets.
 Monitoring activities of personnel towards ensuring adherence to safety norms.
 Proactively identifying areas of obstructions/breakdowns and take steps to
rectify the equipments.
 Contributing to the activities directly towards plant performance improvement.
 Evolve in annual overhauling of Boiler.
 Assist in the training and familiarization of new operators.
 Evolve in Boiler maintenance activities like tube leakage arresting, Mill Maintenance and
Roller gap setting, Duct & Damper Inspection, and Coal Burner Inspection.
