EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This chapter presents the description of the business, the problem, the target

market, and the financial highlights.

The business, Kafé Tavern: The House of Crafts and Artistry, is dedicated to

artistic pursuits. In addition to serving cuisine and beverages with a Spanish-Filipino flair,

Kafé Tavern is a distinctive coffee shop that combines craft-making, which can be done

by the staff or the customers themselves. It will transform into a vintage café that is sure

to draw attention. The business will build a reputation, ensuring that everyone knows

about it and that its goods and services are worthwhile.

The target market is mainly composed of grade-schoolers (5–12 y/o), teenagers

(13–18 y/o), young adults (19–21 y/o), and adults (22 y/o and above). The main target

customers of Kafé Tavern are teenagers and young adults with mid and upper incomes,

and as they always keep up with the trends. The company will introduce its business by

serving unique products and providing customers with satisfaction and delight. The target

market for personalized crafts is anyone who appreciates arts and crafts, and such items

can serve as their customized accessories. Every person has a different level of cravings;

Kafé Tavern will offer delicacies that can refresh a person's mind while they work on their

crafts.

Given the abundance of coffee shops in the market, the business will work to

maintain competitive pricing while also maintaining reasonable rates for food and craft

items in the local area. The business will provide distinctive, high-quality products that are

worthwhile to spend money on, ensuring that clients receive the satisfaction they deserve

and are not easily persuaded by other existing competitors. It will help the business build

and maintain trust and strong brand loyalty among the customers.

The project cost of business is ₱59,635. So, the goal for a monthly profit of Kafé

Tavern for selling 50-100 pieces of craft is ₱75,000 to ₱240,000 and for selling 50–100

beverages is ₱127,500 to ₱255,000. The owners will invest ₱72,000 to cover the start-

up expenses and assets needed, plus deficient spending in the early months. Funding for

the company comes from the owners’ investments.

A unique take on a coffee shop, Kafé Tavern emphasizes artistic endeavors. Along

with coffee and baked foods, the business will also provide crafting supplies that

customers can use to create crafts in the shop. Additionally, it has a Spanish-Filipino

ambiance that lovers of tranquility will undoubtedly adore.

It will be located at Lingayen-Binmaley Baywalk. Teenagers and young adults

between the ages of 13 and 21 make up the majority of the target market for the business

since they are its most suited target customers given that it focuses on creative

endeavors. Additionally, it is open to anyone with an interest in arts and crafts design.

They can gather their family and friends at Kafé Tavern to catch up over coffee and food

while doing stuff in a really peaceful environment.

In light of the market's abundance of coffee shops, Kafé Tavern: The House of

Crafts and Artistry will offer competitive pricing and make an effort to offer the lowest costs

in the area for food and craft categories. Moreover, by providing customers with the

materials they presently cannot find locally, the company will become the go-to store for

all of their craft-related demands.

Nature and Background of the Study

Coffee is a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans, the seeds of berries

from certain flowering plants in the Coffea genus. Coffee is one of the most popular

beverages in the world and there are a lot of people who swear that they cannot start their

day without it. It is enjoyed in different countries and cultures with different manners of

brewing and service.

Art and craft, or the plural “arts and crafts” is a catchall phrase for creative practices

that fall into the category of either art or craft. Anything that can be considered decorative

design or handicraft falls under the umbrella of art and craft.

A study from the University of Illinois found that individuals came up with more

creative product ideas when exposed to ambient sound at around 70 decibels – the

average volume of a bustling coffee shop. Research shows that coffee shop ambiance

increases creativity and ability to learn. Throughout history, coffee has been the drink of

choice for many artists, writers, and musicians. It’s no coincidence that some of the

world’s most creative minds have sworn by coffee’s ability to boost productivity and

creativity.

particularly bread that will foster their artistic and imaginative minds. The business will

provide high-quality products with the use of good quality materials and ingredient. Aside

from that, the business will surely provide outstanding customer service that meets and

exceeds the customers' standards, therefore making us one of the best businesses in the

craft and food industries.

and Spanish cultures. Furthermore, Kafé Tavern's mission lies within the cultivation and

association of arts & crafts and culture and connecting people.

The mobilization of resources includes the funding required to purchase the

materials and ingredients for the business, the staff, the tools and materials needed to

make the products, the procedures to be followed to produce the products, and the

management of the business's flow or orientation, procedure, maintenance, and securing

of finances and resources. The cost of purchasing the raw materials used to create the

products is included in the output production. The establishment of Kafé Tavern: The

All of the managers shared their ideas and have decided upon that the nature of

their business will be a Company — a separate, legal entity created by shareholders. The

business will be in the food and service industry. The fast food industry is a fast-growing

industry. As all you know, many cafeterias here in town have just the same setup, but in

Kafé Tavern, customers will behold the ambiance inspired by Spanish and Filipino

cultures. The business sees it as an opportunity to bring people together, and many

people fancy a place to talk with friends, family, and loved ones and spend quality time.

Kafé Tavern: The House of Crafts and Artistry is a food and service business. This café

is new in town, and they added unique twists to their products and services to bring people

together and make them feel like they are home.

Target Market

Considering that all individuals are the target market costumers of Kafé Tavern:

The House of Crafts and Artistry, mainly, the grade-schoolers (5–12 y/o), teenagers (13–

1. To make the bracelet, start by trimming the jewelry wire. The length of the wire

depends, of course, on the circumference of the wrist.

2. Thread the wire through the connector’s body and secure it with a crimp bead. Flat/bent

nose pliers will be useful here; put a crimp bead on the wire and clamp/flatten with pliers.

3. On the wire, thread on alternate beads and put on the crimp bead and a clasp of your

choice.

4. Thread the end of the wire back through the last two beads and the spacer.

5. Secure the crimp bead with pliers to fix the clasp in place, and with cutting pliers, cut

off the excess wire.

6. This is only half of our bracelet; repeat for the other side in the exact same way.

7. Glue the cord ends onto the end of the leather using glue, and attach a jump ring onto

your desired clasp and attach onto the end of your cord end.

8. At the other end of the leather, attach a jump ring to the cord end, and with a pre-

prepared string of beads, attach a jump ring to the end.

Procedure:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. Beat butter, white sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl

until smooth.

3. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla.

4. Dissolve baking soda in hot water.

5. Add to batter along with salt.

6. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and walnuts.

7. Drop spoonful of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Add more

chocolate chips on top.

8. Bake in the preheated oven until edges are nicely browned, about 10 minutes.

Cool on the baking sheets briefly before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Our modest company will first be located on the public beach in Lingayen-

Binmaley, Pangasinan, along the Baywalk. As agreed, upon by the business owners, they

decided to have it located near the beach for its captivating and fascinating view. Although

it is still not as well-known or prosperous as other locations, it is a location where various

enterprises, including hotels and restaurants, are being established. The property and

location where we decide to develop our store will also be purchased at a lower price

because the area is not yet very well-known. This will serve as an investment for the

ensuing years because the area won't be unknown and will also become well-known

shortly.
