Pattern Notes
● After I saw Minecraft’s 1.17 update with Axolotls, I knew I had to make these
cute salamanders! An Axolotl is an amphibian that looks similar to a
salamander. You can make these little guys in any color!
● You can use wire in your axolotl to help it bend into cute little poses. The wire
can be from the nose all the way to the tail.

Materials
● 3.75 mm (F) crochet hook
● 7 mm safety eyes
● Worsted weight(Medium 4) yarn in one or more colors. If you want, use fuzzy
yarn for the frills just like real Axolotls.
● Yarn needle, pins, and scissors
● Stuffing
● (Optional) Wire in the body, no specific gauge
Note- The wire I usually use is wire taken from a spiral-bound notebook. This
works well and is a good way to reuse.
