Day 01: Kathmandu to Kerung

Following breakfast, we will set out for the Rasuwagadhi-Kerung border or the
friendship bridge at the Nepal-Tibet border where we will clear customs and
immigration paperworks. In about six hours total, we will reach Kerung (also known
as Gyirung), the first village in Tibet.

Distance : 160 kms

Ride Hours : 8 hrs


Elevation : 2700m
Day 02: Kyirong to Old Tingri

In the morning, we will have breakfast in Kyirong and then we will start riding
towards Old Tingri via Peikucuo Lake. From Old Tingri if the weather is good then
you will have a good view of Mt. Everest and Cho Oyu as well.

Accommodation: Snow leopard hotel or Similar


Distance : 270 kms

Ride Hours : 8 hrs

Day 3: Old Tingri - Everest Base Camp
Attractions: Rongbuk monastery and Mt. Everest base camp

Today we will ride straight to Old Tingri. Continuous ride towards south-east, from
Old Tingri you will be amazed by the spectacular Himalayan Ranges and its mighty
peaks beyond 8000m, Mt.Makalu (8463m), Mt.Lhotse (8516m), Mt.Everest (8844m)
and Mt.Cho Oyu (8201m) from Left to Right, Ride off the main road and head into
the valley to the south to the day’s destination - Everest Base Camp located in the
Rongbuk valley. Rongbuk is the highest monastery in the world and it consists of
both monks and nuns. Afternoon you have an option to do a short trekking from the
tent guesthouses community to E.B.C, it will take you about 2 hours or more per
your physical condition (6Km). Or you can take the dedicated minibus instead. We
suggest you bring your own sleeping bags for the night if available as the local tent
guesthouses reuse the blankets for several weeks due to their poor facility.

Ride Hours : 3 hrs


Elevation : 5200m

Day 4: Everest—Farming Villages—Shigatse


After watching the sunrise on Mt.Everest, you will begin the journey back to Shigatse
via Geula Pass and will stop at some farming villages as well as the small farming
town of Lhatse. You will arrive in Shigatse with enough time to explore the main
market street there or to hike the pilgrimage path at Tashi Lhunpo Monastery.

Distance : 350 kms

Ride Hours : 6 hrs


Elevation : 3850m

Day 5: Shigatse - Gyangtse - Yamdrok lake - Lhasa


In the morning we will have breakfast in the hotel and then we will visit Tashi Lhunpo
monastery which is one of the biggest monasteries in the Tsang region. After that
we will drive 90 kms to Gyangtse where we will visit Gyangtse Pelchoe monastery.
Then we will head to Yamdrok lake and then stay overnight in Lhasa.

Distance : 360 kms

Ride Hours : 7 hrs

Day 6: Lhasa Sightseeings: Potala Palace - Jokhang Temple &


Barkhor Streets
You will start the day by exploring the Potala Palace, Tibet’s most iconic building.
Towering above Lhasa with more than 1000 rooms, the Potala Palace served as the
winter residence of the Dalai Lama’s for hundreds of years. After that you will
explore the Jokhang, the holiest Buddhist temple in the Himalayas. Founded nearly
1400 years ago, Jokhang Temple houses the most sacred statue of Buddha. You
will work your way through this fascinating temple alongside Buddhist pilgrims from
the faraway regions of Tibet. The sound of pilgrims chanting mantras fills the air as
does the smell of yak butter candle offerings.

Day 7: Lhasa - Shigatse


In the morning, we will have breakfast in the hotel and then we will ride to Shigatse
all along the Yarlung Tsangpo river (Brahmaputra River).

Accommodation: Tashi Chode hotel or Similar


Distance : 270 kms

Ride Hours : 5 hrs


Elevation : 3850m

Day 08: Shigatse to Old Tingri


We will ride back to the town of Old Tingri. On the way back we will cross two
Mountain passes above 5000 meters.

Distance : 270 kms

Ride Hours : 6 hrs


Elevation : 4300m

Day 09: Old Tingri to Kerung


We will take a nice ride on paved Tibetan roads back to the settlement of Kerung,
which is at the border between Nepal and Tibet. Today is our day off, so we may
relax and spend the night at a guesthouse in Kerung.

Distance : 270 kms

Ride Hours : 8 hrs


Elevation : 2700m

Day 10: Kerung to Kathmandu


After completing the immigration procedures at the Nepal-Tibet border, we will drive
back to Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu. Afternoon souvenir shopping and overnight at
the hotel.

Distance : 160 kms


Ride Hours : 8 hrs
Elevation : 1400m

Itinerary changes:
Every effort will be made to adhere to the planned itinerary. Due to weather
conditions and reasons beyond company control, changes to the itinerary might
occur, for which the company accepts no responsibility.

Alterations To Tour Schedule


Tours operate on a seasonal basis and where seasonal variances and/or weather
conditions cause changes in the tour routing and accommodations the itinerary
will be adjusted accordingly, with alternate hotels and roads being selected. Trip
entirely depends on the day of operation like weather/landslide/traffic/vehicle
breakdown & any other unforeseen reason, if there are any changes due to any
reason beyond our control has to be paid directly by clients for next best
possible accommodation/alternation in route for safe passage etc…

Insurance:
There is no personal insurance of any kind included in the tour price. Travel
insurance should be obtained from your place of residence, before
commencement of trip. Destination for Adventures will not be held liable for any
illness, injury or death sustained during a tour.

Payment Procedure:
We need 50% advance payment and a balance you can pay on arrival. Tour
payment should be remitted in favor of “Destination for Adventures”

Cancellation & Operational Policy:-


25% of total tour cost charged as cancellation charges for booking once made.
50% charges apply before 20 days of arrival date and no refunds thereafter. If any
part of the package is not availed, refunds cannot be claimed for and neither is
any part of the package exchangeable with some other services. Incase extension
of a tour is required, supplement as applicable would be paid directly to us by the
clients.

Reservation Policy:
All reservations have to be sent by email. Bookings will be received for all dates
irrespective of high season or low season at any time of the year.
