    I am directed to enclose a copy each of the English and Hindi versions of the
    Notification, duly signed in ink by the Joint Secretary in this Ministry, on enhancement of
    the age of superannuation in respect of the Directors of the Indian Institutes of Science
    Education & Research (IISERs) from 65 to 70 years, for publication in the Gazette of India
    (Extraordinary) Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i). Soft copies of the Notification have also
    been separately mailed to you. It is certified that the contents of the soft as well as hard
    copies of theN otification are same and have approval of the competent authority.

    It is requested that the Notification may be published in the Gazette (Extraordinary)


    early and ten copies of the same sent to this Ministry.

    NOTIFICATION

    G.S.R. (E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) and (4) of
    section 26 of the National Institutes of Technology, Science Education and Research Act, 2007
    (29 of 2007), with the approval of the Visitor, the Central Government hereby makes the
    following amendment in the First Statutes of the Indian Institutes of Science Education and
    Research, namely:-

    1. Short title and Commencement

    (1) These Statutes may be called the First Statutes of the Indian Institutes of
    Science Education and Research (Amendment) Statutes, 2015.
    (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

    2. In the First Statutes of the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research, in
    Schedule 'A', in paragraph (2), for the words and figures "the age of 65" the words and figures
    "the age of 70" shall be substituted.
