Spaces

The space between the letters is equivalent.

The distance between the dot symbol and
the letter “I” is three times the distance
between each letter.

Safe Area

In order to make the IED logo pop out of the

graphic composition, we will make sure to
respect a safe area, that will assure purity
and readability.

The safe area is calculated proportionally

using the symbol diameter as a unit for
defining the spacing.

The application of the Comms lockup

is reserved to business and marketing
communications, mainly used in White IED
on red, black or visual backgrounds.
Depending on the the size and type of
application ( print or digital ), there are two
comms lockup: extended or compact.

The typeface

Gellix is a mono-linear geometrical sans-serif

font family. It was designed in the time I fell in
love with Paul a first sketch of Futura and I also
explored stylistic sets, so I added a lot of strict
and cold alternatives (“a, g, m, n, r, t, etc.”).
