Instructions for Continued Airworthiness
ICA11120

2.0 DESCRIPTION

As shown in DECA Aviation Modification Summary MS11120, the modification permits the installation of the
following:

1) A Latitude Iridium/GPS Antenna (quantity: 1, p/n: S5GIR1516RR-A2P-XTT-1, wt: 0.52 lbs,

5.03”x2.2”x0.72”height) installed on the upper fuselage of the Beechcraft models. The Iridium/GPS
antenna is an oval shaped low profile antenna requiring two 0.75” diameter skin penetrations. An Al Aly
2024-T3 external doubler is used, fastened with countersunk rivets. The antenna is fastened using #10-
32 countersunk screws.

• For the Beechcraft 200, 200C, 200CT, 200T, B200, B200C, B200CT, B200T, A200, A200C,
A200CT, the antenna is installed on the upper fuselage either:
A. above the main passenger door, between FS 285.188 & FS 291.875 (between the
centerline stinger and stringer 2R) or
B. between FS 165.125 & FS 175.25 (between centerline & stringer 2R or stringer 2L) or
C. between FS 236.125 & FS 246 (between centerline & stringer 2R or stringer 2L).
D. between FS 246 & FS 256.25 (between centerline & stringer 2R or stringer 2L).

is in the standard configuration for maintenance.

7.1 Latitude Antenna Removal

A. Locate the Latitude Antenna (p/n S5GIR1516RR-A2P-XTT-1 or 5G151624RRL-A2P-XTTT-1) on the

upper fuselage of the either the Beechcraft 200 series, 300 series, 1900 series, attached to an external
doubler and fuselage skin, indicated in Figure 11120-07, 11120-08 & 11120-09, respectively. As
required, gain access into the interior side of the fuselage within the installation area.
B. With a non-metallic scraper, remove the sealant bead around the base of the antenna.
C. Locate antenna mounting screws (quantity 4, MS24693) attaching Latitude antenna to the fuselage of
either the Beechcraft 200 series, 300 series, 1900 series. Refer to Figure 11120-07, 11120-08 &
11120-09, respectively.
D. Remove antenna mounting screws (quantity 4, MS24693).
E. Remove Latitude Antenna.

7.2 Latitude Antenna Installation

A. Visually inspect for damage, all components and installation hardware before installation. Replace, as
per List of Material/Parts on DECA Modification Summary MS11120.
B. Clean surface of external doubler, internal and external fuselage skin in the vicinity of the installation
with Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK).
C. Inspect external doubler, internal and external fuselage skin in the vicinity of the installation for
corrosion. If corrosion is detected, remove & repair per applicable Beechcraft 200 series, 300 series,
1900 series SRM procedures.
D. Position the Latitude Antenna (p/n: S5GIR1516RR-A2P-XTT-1 or 5G151624RRL-A2P-XTTT-1) over the
external doubler on the Beechcraft 200 series, 300 series, or 1900 series. Refer to Figure 11120-07,
11120-08 & 11120-09 respectively.
E. Position antenna mounting screws (quantity 4, MS24693) to coincide with the external doubler and
fuselage mounting provisions.
F. Install and torque mounting screws (quantity 4, MS24693) as per torque values in Section 12 of this
ICA.
G. Bead seal around the base of antenna, to form a water-tight seal. Seal with PR1422 sealant or
equivalent.
