The purpose of this procedure is to describe the Lowering and Backfilling work
method that will be carried out correctly and using materials that comply with
the specified requirements..
This document covers the requirements that must be carried out for pipe
lowering and pipe filling work for Nitrogen pipe and Hydrogen pipes.

4. Fill in excavation with sand Thickness 10cm before lowering pipe
5. The area is ready with support sand bags.
6. The pipe is ready to be treated for lowering work.
4.2. Preparation
• Ensure that the excavation depth refers to the requirements and the
implementation refers to the As-Built Survey Procedure.
• Make sure the minimum Depth Cover is 1.8 meters from the Top of Pipe.
• Make sure the Free Span distance is within the Free Span tolerance
limit.
• Ensure Pipeline Lowering analysis has been carried out and approved
before Lowering work begins.
• Make sure the bottom of the excavation is free from rocks or other hard
objects that could damage the pipe wrapping.
• Ensure that all pipes that will be lowered into the excavation have
passed the holiday test.
5
• If there is standing water in the excavation, dewatering is carried out
first before lowering work.
4.3. Implementation
• The pipe lowering process must use a sling belt so as not to damage
the protective layer of pipe wrapping.
• To avoid stress on the pipe, make sure the tripod is in the correct and
safe position when lowering the pipe.
• Carry out a Free Span inspection, if there is still a free span that exceeds
the calculation limit, a sandbag will be installed between the free span.

- As-Built
5.2. BACKFILLING
• Ensure that the backfilling work process is carried out with the right materials
and methods in accordance with established procedures.
• The completed backfilling must be in its original condition and have good
density.
• Make daily work reports and report to Supervisor.
• Backfill materials

• Compaction of each layer
Things that must be considered regarding Health, Work Safety and Environmental
Protection include:
