I usually make homemade waffles almost every

week especially during the weekends. They are
the kind of comforting dish that everybody love
and never get enough with.

This is my favorite homemade waffles recipe so

far. The batter is easy to work with and the waffles
come out light, crispy and fluffy.

These homemade waffles are best served right

away, while they are still a bit crispy on the
outside, with a piece of butter and maple syrup or
honey. You can always come out with various
toppings like softened cream cheese or whipped
cream, fresh fruits or jams on top. In any way you
choose to serve them they are simply amazing
and they are definitely a perfect choice for a quick
breakfast or even as dessert.

Oh man, it’s been too long since I’ve had homemade

waffles. I remember how much I loved it as a child – we
used a French recipe (I have sort of a second mom that’s
from France) and ate them with fresh berries… so
wonderful! Thank you for reminding me of these
wonderful occasions

These look amazing! Whenever I try to make pancakes

they turn out very thin and flat. These are gorgeous!

What are those orange berries? I imagine some sort of

relative to the kumquat?

The orange berries are Sea Buckthorn Berries, they

are very healthy. They have a high amount of
vitamin C and E content. Yes they look similar to
kumquats and they have a sour taste.

I am guilty. I admit. Most of the time it is store-bought-

straight – from – the-box-waffle-mix I serve for my kids
for breakfast. I wanted to make homemade version but
sometimes there are just lots of alibis
Anyway, my kids still love them…But your homemade
waffle recipe is a few steps easier than my version so i
think I am gonna try this out. Happy Breakfast everyone!
Thanks for sharing!

Was feeling kind of gloomy after recently losing my

father. About 30 years ago he rewired an old waffle iron
for me. Just made your recipe and my family absolutely
loved it! Nothing like comfort food. Thank you for
sharing.

I am really sorry for your loss, I know how you feel,

we've been in a similar situation about 3 years ago.
I am glad I could help you with my recipe so you
could use your father's waffle iron.

Hey Ella,

Greetings from Moscow, Russia! Just wanted to say how

much of a fan of yours I am, and these waffles are my
absolute favorite. It’s the only recipe without tons of
butter and doesn’t make me that guilty. Also it’s my
favorite comfort food, so when smth happens, you and a
pint of icecream are my best helpers Thank you,
you’re amazing.

Cheers,
Elena
