This test is an in vitro nucleic acid amplification test for the quantitation of hepatitis B virus
(HBV) DNA in human EDTA plasma of HBV-infected individuals.

This assay is intended for use in conjunction with clinical presentation and other laboratory
markers as an indicator of disease prognosis and for use as an aid in assessing viral response
to antiviral treatment as measured by changes in plasma HBV DNA levels.

The detection limit of this assay is >10 IU/mL.

Note: Two lab intercomparison cannot be done due to difference in sample collection,
transportation, storage, sensitivity and specificity of assay.
