Rationale:
The rationale of the course is to teach students about Schools and Perspectives in
Psychology. The course will also provide students an understanding of theoretical basis of
human behavior which includes major perspectives in Psychology (Biological, Psychodynamic,
Behaviorism, Cognitive, Humanistic, Existential, and Gestalt).
Objectives:
The basic objective of this course is to analyze a given topic via different perspectives.
To make students aware of the history of Psychology and how it has evolved through the
passage of time.
Current discourse of Psychology.
Learning Outcomes:
After the completion of this course the students will be able to:
Understand the basic theoretical basis of human behavior.
