1. Software Introduction

1.1 Light-curable Resin 3D Printer

Currently 10 printers are supported:

2. Software Installation

2.1 Software Download

Download path: Open the browser and enter the URL of the official website of
Creality 3D: https://www.creality.com-Support-Download, find the Creality Box
slicer software and download.

2.2 Software Installation and Start

(1) Open the downloaded installation package, select the Windows/Mac


package according to your computer and follow the prompts to complete the
installation.
(2) Use the desktop icon or the shortcut in the start menu to start the software.
When the software is opened for the first time, you can select the model list
according to your needs.

3. Software Operation
3.1 Menu
3.1.1 Open Project: Open an existing project file (.cx3d)

3.1.2 Open: Open a file (.stl/.obj)

3.1.3 Recently visited files: List of recently visited files

3.1.4 Save STL: Save the model as an STL format file

3.1.5 Save as Project: Rename and save the opened project

3.1.6 Language setting: Set the software display language (Chinese/English)

3.1.7 Use Course: Open the tutorial for the operation of this software

3.1.8 Update: Software version check and update

3.1.9 About Us: Display the software version and basic information of the
software developer
3.1.10 Close: Close the software

3.2 Operation Bar

3.2.1 Open: Open a model file (.stl/.obj)

3.2.2 Move: Move the selected model, including X/Y/direction movement,


center/bottom and reset operations.

3.2.3 Scale: Scale the selected model, including scaling in the X/Y/Z direction.
You can also lock the ratio for scaling and resetting.
3.2.4 Rotate: Rotate the selected model, including the rotation in the X/Y/Z
direction; it can also be reset.

3.2.5 Clone: Perform cloning operation on the selected model. Before cloning,
you can set the number to be cloned.

3.2.6 Support: You can edit and set the support parameters of the model
selected on the raft. The operable setting items include the tip diameter,
support density, support diameter, height from raft, raft height, raft size,
whether add base; the operation buttons are Generate/Delete support,
edit/complete, undo, reset.

(1) Tip diameter: The diameter of the contact ball between the support and
the model

(2) Support density: Support space parameter setting

(3) Support diameter: The setting of the diameter of the support column

(4) Height from raft: Set the height parameter of model distance from raft

(5) Raft height: Set the thickness parameter of the model base

(6) Raft size: Set the model base size parameters

(7) Whether add base: Choose whether to add a support. After checking it,
the thickness and size of the base can be edited. If it is not checked, the
thickness and size can’t be edited;

(8) Generate/delete support: Generate support is to generate support


automatically, and delete support is to delete all supports of the model. The
two buttons will switch between different states;

(9) Edit/complete: Edit is a function button for manually editing support for
the model. After editing, it is a confirmation button for supporting the editing.
The two buttons will switch between different states;

3.2.7 Print: Before slicing, you can edit and set each slice parameter. The
setting items include consumables, layer height, exposure time, B-offset
thickness, B-offset focal length, enable XY compensation, XY compensation,
enable Z compensation, Z compensation, anti-aliasing, gray value range, etc.

(1) Consumables: Option of printing consumables

(2) Layer height: The printing parameter setting item of the printing layer
height

(3) Exposure time: The printing parameter setting item of exposure time

(4) B-offset thickness: The printing parameter setting item of B-offset


thickness

(1) (5) B-offset focal length: The printing parameter setting item of B-
offset focal length

(6) Enable XY compensation: Turn on/off the setting item of XY


compensation

(7) XY compensation: XY compensation value parameter setting item,


range -0.3 ~ 0.3

(8) Enable Z compensation: Turn on/off the setting item of Z compensation


(9) Z compensation: Z compensation value parameter setting item, range 1-
3

(10) Anti-aliasing: Turn on/off anti-aliasing settings

(11) Gray value range: Gray value range setting item of anti-aliasing, range
10-255

(12) Slice: A function button to start slicing. After slicing, you can choose to
save the sliced file locally or send it to the printer via WiFi.

(13) Reset: The function button to reset the printing parameters


3.3 Printer

3.3.1 Select printer: Click the drop-down list below the printer to select the
appropriate printer model.

3.3.2 Add Printer: If there is no matching printer model in the drop-down list,
you can click Add Printer, select the appropriate model on the Add Printer
page and add it.

3.3.3 Manage printer: This function allows configuring the basic parameters of
the printer, including printer type, resolution X, resolution Y, size X, size Y, size
Z, and mirror, and the Save, Reset and Delete buttons.
3.4 Model

3.4.1 Import model: Click this function to import model files; supported formats
are .stl/ .obj

3.4.2 Middle and Sort: This function is to sort the models in the center
3.4.3 Delete: This function is to delete the selected model

3.5 Creality Cloud

3.5.1 Creality Cloud official website: Open the web link to the Creative Cloud
3.6 View/Drag Bar/Expand & Collapse

3.6.1 Front view : Click to switch to the front view

3.6.2 Left view : Click to switch to the left view

3.6.3 Right view : Click to switch to the right view

3.6.4 Top view : Click to switch to the top view

3.6.5 Bottom view : Click to switch to the bottom view

3.6.6 Drag bar: After selecting the model, select the spherical button and drag
the button up and down to observe the display of each layer of the model, and
view and analyze the model;
3.6.7 Expand/Collapse: Click the arrow on the left above the taskbar to
expand or collapse the taskbar information

3.7 Mouse Operation


3.7.1 Rotate by right-click: Hold down the right button of the mouse and move
the mouse to rotate the perspective, which is convenient for viewing the
model in each perspective;

3.7.2 Drag by wheel: Hold down the mouse wheel and drag it to move the
printing platform in a plane;

3.8 Information Bar (Bottom)

4. Basic Printing Process


4.1 Model selection: Select an existing model in the list, or add

a new model;
