I. Short Review Game: Using a puzzle maze, each group will identify the name of the pictures.

II. Lesson Purpose The teacher will state the purpose of the lesson:
“In this lesson, we are going to read words by combining the sounds
/m/, /a/, /s/, /i/, /o/, /b/, /u/, /e/, /t/.”

IV. Lesson Activity Activity 1: Group Work


Each team will create as many words as they can using the target letter sounds
within the allotted time. The team that comes up with the most words that don't
have the same word as the other teams wins.

Activity 2:
Prepare a maze. There will be 2 groups. The two teams will meet and play rock,
paper, scissors. Whoever wins will read the word held by the opposing team and
say how many syllables make up each word. He will advance if his answer is
correct. The team with the most members to cross to the other side wins.

Activity 3:
The teacher will give letter cards to each group. The teacher will show pictures.
Each group will create and show the name of the pictures using their letter cards.

Activity 4:
The teacher will show another set of pictures. Let each group write sentences
about it.
