configurat ion within t he project, the ch eck list will cover each section.

This checkl ist should be used a nd completed throug hout the pr oject and it s
different stages, delivery, storage, instal lation & pre-comm issi oning, prior to the

Delivery Inspection
Once the Air Ha ndling Unit arriv es at site, usually delivered by a transpor t
company, and before being acc epted into storage, the following shou ld be
checke d with the driver.

Any dama ge that is noted should be reported to the m anufacturer/supplier within


3 days in writing supp orted w ith photogra phs.

Storage Inspection

Storage Area
If the equipment is t o be placed into stor a ge on s ite prior to i nstalla t ion there w ill
be an inspection com pleted check ing the following.

Prior to the units being placed into storage the follow ing should b e checked.

Pre-Installation Inspection
Prior to the units being in stalle d the following shoul d be c hec ked.

then the unit should be protected.

5 If the unit is inst alled externa lly


then ensure it can be f ixed to the
floor, check for inter nal mounting
requirements w ith the
manufacturer .

6 If there is a buildup of snow it will


not affect the unit’s ope rat ion of
maintenance requirem ents.
7 The i nstallation of the unit will not
impede the installati on of the
condensate tr ap/ pipework.
8 All connect ions,
pipework/duct work etc., can b e
independently s upported and n ot
supported by the u nit.

Best pract ice is to install self -
support ing brackets prior to the
connection of the unit
9 Ensure that all ac cess doors are
clear and not blocke d from
brackets or ot her services.

connections k its containing -
gaskets, bolts, cleat s, screws are
available to allow bo lting up of th e
equipment.

11 Remove a ll tr ansport feet and


bolts.
12 Chec k that all requir ed cabling
can be run through the unit and
on appropriate cont a inment.

manner to r emove the parts and
components and that there is
enou gh space at h igh level a nd at
the floor level to al low this.

Pre-Commissioning Inspection
Once the equipme nt has been i nsta lled and prior to functiona l testing and
commiss ioning phase taking place t he following will be c hecked.

General

informat ion to ensur e correct.
2 Ensure unit is level.
3 Ensure all gaskets a re insta lled
and sealed.

instruct ions.
5 All acc ess doors can be ope n and
clos ed w ith no gaps or leak age.
6 Chec k that all transport bolts and
feet are removed.
7 Roof canopy, if being used, is
installed and fixed.
8 All v ibrat ion mounts installed
9 Seismic restraints, where
required, installed .
10 Unit and al l compon ents including
valves and controls are labe led in
line w ith the project namin g
convention.
