is present across 10 cities including Delhi, NCR, Bangalore,
Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, Indore, Pune, Baroda and
Dehradun in India, with a capacity of 55,000 beds. Stanza
Living is a technology-enabled housing concept which
provides fully-furnished residences with amenities like meals,

light business model under which it engages in long-term
lease agreements with property owners/developers, who
convert their assets into shared living residences as per
company guidelines. These assets are subsequently operated
by Stanza Living.
HISTORY OF THE COMPANY

It’s 2009. Anindya and Sandeep, two 20-something boys, met in the IIM-A
hostel. Little did they know that one day, they’d change the face of managed-
accommodation in India.

Fast-forward to 2017. The erstwhile roomies met again. Reminiscing about the
‘good old hostel days’, they realized a lot of that ‘good’ could’ve been better. So
to give youngsters what they deserve, they returned to India, set up base in
Delhi and launched their brand of managed-accommodation spaces. And,
inspired by the word Stanza - the building blocks of a poem, but also Italian for
‘room’ - they decided to call it Stanza Living.

Stanza Living provides tech-enabled, fully managed community living facilities

for students and working professionals. The company was launched as a student
housing business in Delhi NCR with a capacity of 100 beds, and grew to 14
cities by 2019. By early 2020, the company began catering to working
professionals as well. The company has a combined inventory of 55,000 beds
under management for both students and working professionals.
Stanza Living is currently valued at $300 million. It has raised a capital of about
$70 million from leading global investors like Falcon Edge Capital, Sequoia
Capital, Matrix Partners and Accel Partners.

 November 2017 – Seed funding

 September 2018 – Series A
 March 2019 – Debt financing
 July 2019 – Series C round
 December 2019 - Debt financing
The company has invested in building technology products for business
efficiency and consumer experience, like the Stanza Resident App and Stanza
Real Estate App.
Stanza Living has close to 1,500 employees across India. It is recognized among
Top Real Estate Tech Start-ups of 2020 across the globe by research and
analysis company Tracxn. The company has been shortlisted among Top 25

SWOT ANALYSIS
SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats,
and so a SWOT Analysis is a technique for assessing these four
aspects of your business.
You can use SWOT Analysis to make the most of what you've got, to
your organization's best advantage. And you can reduce the chances
of failure, by understanding what you're lacking, and eliminating
hazards that would otherwise catch you unawares.

Strengths: characteristics of the business or project that give

it an advantage over others.
Weaknesses: characteristics that place the business or project
at a disadvantage relative to others.
Opportunities: elements in the environment that the business
or project could exploit to its advantage.
Threats: elements in the environment that could cause trouble
for the business or project.

STP STRATEGY

STP marketing stands for segmentation, targeting, and

positioning. It is a three-step process that allows for the
development of a specific and actionable marketing strategy.
The main principle behind the process is to segment your
audience, target each segmented group according to their
preferences and habits, and make positioning adjustments in
your branding and marketing strategies to accommodate their
needs and expectations.
The reason why the segmentation-targeting-positioning
process is so effective is that it breaks down broader markets
into smaller parts, making it easier to develop specific
approaches for reaching and engaging potential customers
instead of having to use a generic marketing strategy that
would not be as appealing, or as effective.
 SEGMENTATION
Market segmentation is the research that defines whether
the business divides its consumers or demographic into
smaller groups based on features such as age, income,
personality traits or behaviour. These categories can be used
later to tailor goods and advertising for different customers.
 TARGETING
After segmentation, you have to do target marketing. First
of all, what is target marketing? Target marketing is niche-
specific marketing. The niche is not based on products but
customers. You have to identify your potential customers
who will purchase your product based on their needs. There
are around 7 billion people on earth. You can’t sell your
product to all people because they are not interested in
purchasing from you. That’s where target marketing works.
So, Targeting the Second step of STP Marketing
 POSITIONING
This is the last step of the STP Marketing process. position
means place. In other words, we can say where you stand. In
marketing, we understand the positioning of a product. In
simple words, positioning in the market means where your
product stands in the market. it means how our product stands
different from other products in the market and how it is better
than our competitor’s product.
