    01 PURPOSE:The purpose of this work method statement is for the Installation of Drain pipe with
    Insulation.

    02 SCOPE:
    1) Design, drawing, quality of work as per project specification & standard.
    2) Material unloading
    3) Material shifting
    4) Insulations of pipe.
    5) Installations of Drain pipe.
    03 RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Project Engineer
    2. Site Engineer
    3. Safety Officer
    04 METHODOLOGY:

    A.Pre installation Check list


    1.Check the location & inspect material & clearances with client
    2.Check obstruction in route with other agency

    B.Installation Procedure
    1. Pipe & Pipe size should be selected as specified in the specification.
    2.Supporting work will be as per the drawing.
    3.Pipe should be installed so as to allow sufficient space for expansion & Contraction of thermal
    insulation
    4.Pipework will generally run parallel to the alignment of the adjacent building services and as close
    to the construction as possible slopping towards to the drain point.
    5.Pipe cutting will be done in a neat worksman like manner with out damaging the pipe.
    6. PVC solution must be applied all joints to prevent further leakages.

    05 MATERIALS:
    CPVC drain pipe,Drain pipe fittings,9mm thick nitrile rubber insulation,Adhesive,CPVC solvent.

    06 MACHINARY & TOOLS:


    Hammer, drill machine, Cutter machine, Hacksaw frame with blade , Measurement
    tape,Supports e.tc.

    07 MANPOWER:
    Estimate Manpower of approx. 4nos(2Nos skilled & 2 Nos unskilled manpower)
    08 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS & PRECAUTIONS:
    1. All Staff and manpower are safety inducted
    2. Efficient and effective supervision will be maintained throughout the work.
    3. Use of Scaffolding, boom lifts and scissor lifts for proper access and egress for
    workers to work at height.
    4. Area of erection is barricaded and display sign boards only concerned persons
    are allowed to enter.
    5. If required, arrange crane or proper lifting Mechanism.
    6. Boom lift, cranes lifting tools and tackles third party inspection(TPI) provided
    before starting work.
    7. Use of suitable PPE’s for height work such as full body harness, hand gloves,
    helmet e.tc.
    8. Provide life line where there is absence of hooking system.
    9. Height work training will be conducted and worker will be informed about
    hazards and control measures.
    10. Rigger for Erection Activity.
