Dear Sir,
As per your our located near Vadodara and after one-to-one discussion with you, as per your
requirement we recommend the following products and following process to be followed by us.
SURFACE CONDITION:
As observed by our technical team, your present surface i.e. mother slab is at good and healthy
condition. For making a garden over that surface we need to take few precautionary stands
which will effectively protect our surface. Through the below said process we make sure that
your surface life gets increased.
SURFACE REQUIREMENT:
Client must provide us a smooth & even layer of plaster with angle fillets being prepared
and properly cured.
Angle fillets (Vata) are required over the joints of parapets-mother slab to ensure that
borders are crack free and water flows from the parapets easily without logging over the
edges.
PRODUCTS TO BE USED:
SURFACE PREPARATION:
Cleaning & removing dust, dirt, loose particles and unsound substrate to make the
surface smooth & even.
If we found any cracks on the surface, then all the cracks will be opened through cutter
and Crack seal or polymer mortar will be filled respective to its width to make the surface
crack free.

After all the repairing work is done the whole terrace will be air washed to make it ready
for priming.
Dr. Fixit Flexi PU 270(I) is a liquid-applied, highly permanent elastic, cold applied and cold
curing, one component polyurethane membrane used for long-lasting waterproofing. Solvent
based with root resistance properties. The Dr. Fixit Flexi PU 270(I) is based on pure elastomeric
hydrophobic polyurethane resins, which result in excellent mechanical, chemical, thermal and
natural element resistance properties. Cures by reaction with ground and air moisture.
Method of Application:
Careful surface preparation is essential for optimum finish and durability. The surface needs to
be clean, dry, and sound, free of any contamination, which may harmfully affect the adhesion of
the membrane. Maximum moisture content should not exceed 5%. Substrate compressive
strength should be at least 25 MPa, cohesive bond strength at least 1.5 MPa. New concrete
structures need to dry for at least 28 days. Old, loose coatings, dirt, fats, oils, organic
substances, and dust need to be removed by a grinding machine. Possible surface irregularities
need to be smoothened. Any loose surface pieces and grinding dust need to be thoroughly
removed.
The careful sealing of existing cracks and joints before the application it will be repair with
Epoxy important for long lasting waterproofing results.
PRIMING:
Prime absorbent surfaces like concrete, cement screed with Dr. Fixit Primer PU.
Allowing the primer to cure according to its technical instruction.

WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE :
Stir well before using. Pour the Dr. Fixit Flexi PU 270(I) onto the primed surface and lay
it out by roller or brush, until all surface is covered.
You can use airless spray allowing a considerable saving of manpower. After 12-18
hours (not later than 48 hours) apply another layer of the Dr. Fixit Flexi PU 270(I).
For demanding applications, apply a third layer of the Dr. Fixit Flexi PU 270(I). Reinforce
always with the Geotextile Fabric at problem areas, like wall-floor connections, 90º
angles, chimneys, pipes, waterspouts (siphon), etc.
In order to do that, apply on the still wet Dr. Fixit Flexi PU 270(I) a correct cut piece of
Geotextile Fabric, press it to soak, and saturate again with enough Dr. Fixit Flexi PU
270(I).
GEOTEXTILE:
A permeable geo synthetic comprised solely of textiles. Geotextiles are used with foundation,
soil, rock, earth, or any other geotechnical engineering-related material as an integral part of
human-made project, structure, or system. Non-woven geotextiles are prepared from high
tenacity staple polypropylene fibre by way of needle punching. These have strong chemical
resistance also, do not soak up water. The Needle punched non-woven geotextiles have
extreme superior flow rates with a reduced amount of propensity to clog in comparison to the
heat bonded non-woven geotextiles. Therefore, these non-woven geotextiles are perfect for
drainage, separation, stabilization, and control of erosion.
The most common product in the family of Geo synthetics is non-woven geotextile fabrics. This
technology has been worked as a Separator which is used between unsuitable material and
good bag filled material and this usage will reduce the excavation depth of unsuitable sub-
grade. At the same time, it reduces the aggregate thickness to stabilize the sub-grade. The non-
woven geotextile fabric keeps up a uniform settlement of the sub-grade and hence improves the
sub grade strength and prolongs the life of the system. Geotextile Fabric is used in almost all
civil construction projects to stabilize soil whilst retaining porosity for water to flow.
Spread 250 GSM geotextile over cured waterproofing system as separation layer,
before a concrete screed is laid. Protecting the coating with a concrete screed in M
20 grade. The protective screed of 40-50 mm (minimum) thickness maintaining an
average slope towards the drain outlets for effective and efficient draining of water.
Angle fillet to be provided while screed application using polymer modified mortar.

Special Terms:
Client must provide usable surface as discussed to Shah Marketing and their
applicator before commencing the waterproofing system at its own cost.
Screeding must be done under our supervision at a suitable time of both the parties.
Shah Marketing will not be held liable if any system gets damaged by client or its
third party oversite.
Cost for laying screed over the waterproofed area will be borne by client.
If the site is handed over to us too late for commencing the waterproofing treatment,
then rates may vary depending upon the change in price of material.
Commencement and completion period of project may change due to bad weather.
Also, the client must take care that screeding material or mixture of sand, cement, greet
etc. should not be done on the waterproofed area.
No heavy movement should be done on the terrace area where waterproofing has been
done before screeding.
