JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT
This Judicial Affidavit of Rinalyn E. Paredes of legal age, single, and with
address at , Brgy. Sta. Clara, Bobon, Northern Samar ; is executed to serve as her direct
testimony in the instant case. This Judicial Affidavit I so offered to prove:
Q2: Where did you go for academic attainment and further criminalistics training?
A: I finished my criminology course in the University of Eastern Philippines and have
undergone training in Forensic Ballistic Specialization in PHILIPPINE CRIMINALISTICS
SOCIETY, at High Country Inn Building, Naguilian Road, BAGUIO CITY.
Q4: What are the principal functions and duties of your position?
A: My principal function and duty to examine ballistic exhibits assigned to me in the
Crime Laboratory sir!
Q6: Have you been qualified to testify as expert witnessin the past?
A: Yes sir.
Q9: I have two specimen of fired cartridge cases marked “LV1’ and “LV2”
from the Philippine Criminologist Society Incorporated, was this one of those
Ballistic Reports you have prepared?
A: Yes sir.
Q10: If I submitted you specimen of two fired cartridge cases will you be able to identify if those were
fired from the same firearm?
A: Yes sir.
Q12:At the bottom right hand side of the document, there appears a
signature above the typewritten name, RINALYN E. PAREDES, whose
signature is it?
A: My signature sir.
Q13: Below your typewritten name and signature, appears the signature
above the typewritten name,whose name and signature is it?

Q14: How did you know that it was the signature of PLT. Oscar P. Cosicol?
A: It was signed in my presence sir and I personally witnessed him sign the document.
Q18: What are your bases for these findings, briefly explain the principles
and/or procedures arriving at such findings?
A:.The findings was based on the results of the examination and comparison that was conducted in
the crime laboratory. To arrive at those findings, two (2) specimens of the fired cartridge shells were
submitted to Crime laboratory and were marked as “LV1” and “LV2”. Such specimens were
examined through comparative examination in the Bullet Comparison Microscope to
determine accuracy hence the basis of my findings Sir.
A: The two (2) fired cartridge cases marked “LV1” and “LV2” were fired from the same
firearm Sir.

address at, Brgy. Minda Gandara, Samar; is executed to serve as her direct testimony in the
instant case. This Judicial Affidavit I so offered to prove:

A: I finished my criminology course in the Northwest Samar State University and have
undergone training in Forensic Ballistic Specialization in PHILIPPINE CRIMINALISTICS
