INCOME GENERATING PROJECT PROPOSAL
HYDRO - SIKHAY SA PABLIK
B. PROPONENT:
School situated in a hilly place, where regular and ample supply of water is a prevalent issue,
Embracing the “Joy of Farming” is a dream. Specifically, for the students under the
agriculture specialization classes (Grades 9 and 10 Agriculture track). Deprived by the unique
bond with the natural world, that makes “farmers as some of the happiest people on earth”.
Thus, as a teacher in TLE Department and as RNHS FSA- President, the dire need for an
alternative farming system and addressing the issue is inevitable. In line with this, the
students inclined in the said skills formation courses can experience and enjoy the sense and
will benefit not just the school, students in the agricultural arts classes, also those students
undergoing the feeding program. The produce from the HYDRO- SIKHAY will be included
and programs.
HYDRO-SIKHAY as alternative farming system will address issues for the need of regular
and enough water supply, and the need for healthy soil to grow healthy plants.
A method of growing crops without soil, an effective system for growing plants in the coming
future, it is likely to be one of the most useful and sustainable ways of food production.
D. DURATION:
This project will begin upon approval in November 2023 and will conclude in November
2024. Production will be extended for another year based on demand from all possible
consumers.
E. LOCATION:
The project will be created and operated in front of the new JICA building in Rizal, National

This IGP will pave the way for students taking up Agricultural Arts, giving them the
opportunity, knowledge, and experiences to develop lifelong skills that they can use
and apply as they go on with their lives, in this continuously changing modern world.
An IGP and farming system that will open various windows of opportunity for our
students and the school not just in farming, but also a training ground in cookery and

True enough, what you eat is who you are, our health is our best wealth. The bottom
line is, on the food that we eat. One of the basic needs of man, to survive.
It will address the need for a good site/location for garden beds with healthy soil, near
to a good source of water that are essential in growing and producing healthy plants.

A. Management Aspect
The practice of growing plants in water that has been supplied with nutrients and
Kratky, a passive hydroponic system renowned for its straightforward, affordable, and simple
construction method.
It does not need sophisticated electrical machinery. In this technique, plants are suspended
above a water reservoir, forcing the roots to look for water, letting nature do all the job so that
it can accomplish it at its own pace. Often said “set it and forget it”.
