    This bulletin replaces Service Bulletin IOL-003C

    IOLMaster System Checkout Procedure:


    The System Checkout Procedure (for IOL 1-3: Section 4.5 in the IOLMaster Service Instructions Manual
    #SM-30-4039; for IOL XP 4-5: pages 11-12 in the IOLMaster XP Service Instructions Manual #SM-30-
    4047; other reference is SM-30-4052) is used to verify that the instrument is operating properly within
    specifications. The System Checkout Procedure should be performed at the completion of every
    installation and service call on the instrument. If an error is detected during the System Checkout
    Procedure, troubleshoot and repair the instrument; then start the System Checkout Procedure again
    from the beginning. The entire System Checkout Procedure should always be performed from start to
    finish without any problems occurring.

    IOLMaster System Field Service Checklist:


    The Field Service Checklist is a shortened version of the System Checkout Procedure and is used as a
    guide for the Service Engineers that are familiar with the procedures. The Field Service Checklist is used
    during completion of each IOLMaster System service call (including software upgrades).

    An E-copy with writeable fields of the “IOLMaster Instrument Checklist and Maintenance Report”
    (Validation Form) is located in Lotus Notes in the Service Bulletin folder under System Operation
    Validation Forms.

    IOLMaster System Operation Validation Form:


    The System Operation Validation Form is a condensed sheet form that captures all of the pertinent
    system operation validation information. All pertinent system operation validation information is recorded
    on the System Operation Validation Form. The System Operation Validation Form must be filled out
    during completion of each IOLMaster System service call (including software upgrades).

    Attach the completed System Operation Validation Form in the “Attachments” Assignment Block of the
    Service Confirmation.
    • All IOLMaster Instruments up to Version 5.4.4 S/W Checklist –
    (Checklist / Maintenance Report Version 5.1 can be used for all IOLMaster systems
    1,2,3, and XP systems up to and including Version 5.4.4 software.)

    • IOLMaster Instrument Version 5.5 S/W Checklist –


    (Checklist / Maintenance Report Version 5.5 would be used only for IOLMaster systems
    running the 5.5 software. These systems have IOLMaster 500 hardware, running current
    version software.)

    Validation Forms.
