I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard Students will understand the physical characteristics and key features of
each continent.
B. Performance Standard Students will demonstrate a proficient ability to locate and identify the
seven continents on a world map.
C. Learning Read and interpret world maps, identifying the location of each continent
Competency with accuracy.

Describe the major physical features of each continent, including


mountains, rivers, and deserts.
D. Learning At the end of the discussion the students are expected to:
Objectives a. Students will enumerate the seven continents of the world.
b. Students will accurately identify and label the seven continents on
a world map.
c. Students will describe the major physical features (mountains,
rivers, deserts) of each continent.

Teacher’s Guide Lesson: Continents of the World

I. Objectives
At the end of the discussion the students are expected to:

a. arrange the seven continents of the world in order based on size.


b. recognize and appreciate the renowned places in each continent.
c. participate in a joyful group activity, lively, and open discussion.

by ice.
