LTE Troubleshooting With the S2000 Adapter Family

eDiamond was designed for vendors and operators, to help them understand LTE network problems, and make LTE network analysis both simpler and faster. eDiamond is used by LTE engineers for probe-based troubleshooting in labs, and during trials and LTE monitoring of live networks
eDiamond saves history data for long periods, and supports: All known vendors of LTE: Ericsson, ALU, NSN, Huawei, ZTE, etc. Interfaces S1-MME All GTP-C interfaces All Diameter interfaces GSM/UMTS/CDMA interoperability interfaces

The S2000 Probe

RADCOMs S2000 probe is built to capture high capacity LTE Ethernet traffic and supports connectivity to multiple IP links from 4 links of 1GB up to 2 links of 10 GB. The S2000 probe is connected to the LTE interfaces, captures the data and forwards it to the eDiamond application. The eDiamond runs within the S2000, processes the captured data, correlates the sessions, calculates the KPIs and then stores it all for the engineer to be used for analysis and troubleshooting.

eDiamond Key Features

Supports the following technologies LTE UMTS GSM/GPRS IMS Softswitching Usability Call Trace Correlation KPI module Multi-user Very simple to deploy Short learning curve Engineers can start using results shortly after being introduced to the application Small footprint 24x7 with near real-time results

S2000 Adapter Family Specifications

Efficient Data Capture
The adapters enable full-duplex monitoring of a network link (Rx and Tx traffic). The frame merging functionality enables Rx and Tx frames to be merged in reception time order, simplifying the application processing.

Host Interface
Bus type: 8-lane 2.5 GHz PCIe Gen1: (fully compatible with 4-lane 2.5 GHz PCIe Gen1) Data transfer modes: Bus master DMA Memory write or memory read transactions Support for 32-/64-bit addressing and host DMA addressing Physical dimensions: -length full-height PCIe

Filtering
64 advanced programmable filters are available with an exceptional flexibility in the way they are specified, combined and controlled. Filtering can be based on various combinations of: Bit patterns Protocol information Frame size tests Frame error tests Port number

Environment
Power consumption: 25 Watts including SFP SR or RJ45 modules Operating temperature: 0 45 C, 32 113 F Operating humidity: 20 80% Hardware compliance: RoHS, UL, CE, FCC, CSA, VCCI, C-TICK MTBF: 266,329 hours according to RIAC-HDBK-217Plu

Synchronization
High-precision time-stamping with 10 ns resolution is applied to all frames received by the adapter. The adapter timestamping can be synchronized to that of another adapter or to external sources: Synchronization via the Time Synchronization Unit e.g. to a GPS signal via Trimble Acutime Gold GPS antenna Adapter-to-adapter HW time synchronization either internally, externally or using daisy-chaining of adapters OS time synchronization with dynamic drift adjustment Free-running time synchronization Synchronization relative to any external PPS time source Synchronization to UTC time from: CDMA time reference when connected to EndRun Prcis Cf CDMA receiver IEEE1588/PTP time reference when connected to Oregano SYN1588 PCIe NIC
