I. Learning Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the student should be able to:


Explain why photography emerged as a fine art in the 20th century and identify
techniques introduced in the 21st century using media technologies;
Identify how photography left a lasting legacy in the Philippine Art and;
Explore how ideas inform artistic creations by creating a project.

1. The teacher presents the picture on the projector

Read properly and observe carefully the pictures then answer the following
question.

1. What are the elements and principles of art immediately seen in the
photograph?
2. Identify at least two elements and two principles and how they are deployed.
3. What are your general impressions of the photograph of Karl Karlivitz Bulla?

B. Lesson Proper

This lesson covers the range of artistic creations from the 20th to the 21st
century that emerged with art movements. This lesson also features technology-
based visual art forms and process-based approaches that splintered into several
cultural zones in the West and the Philippines. The lesson on photography covers
how art form acquired the status of fine art, and how technologies in the 21 st
century enabled artists to transform photography.

issue.
3. Follow the rubric and write your group’s consensus below.

compose an artistically compelling photography? Why? Or why not?
