OFFER OF ADMISSION

I write to inform you that your application for admission as a student in the University of The Gambia has been
successful. Accordingly, you are admitted to the School of Arts and Sciences (Bachelor of Science in
Biology) to commence studies during the 2023/2024 Academic Year .You are therefore expected to report in
the University on January 23rd, 2024 , when University Orientation for new students and other resumption
formalities will take place.

Tuition Fees for your programme of studies is D34,900 per annum. Other costs/fees include: (Student Union
Fee, Development Fee, Technology Fee, and Library Fee) D1200 . This is payable enbloc or in two equal
installments before or at the commencement of the semester. Payment shall be made to the University of The
Gambia’s Account (Trust Bank Ltd/ Guaranty Trust Bank) and present the bank payment receipt to the
University Chief Accountant in the Administration Building of the University who will issue an official receipt.

Please note that no student will be allowed to register for any course unless he/she has presented evidence of
payment of tuition fees or scholarship award from the Government.

You will bring along original copies of your certificates for all the qualifications listed in your Application for
Admission Form. Any false claim or declaration on your part that is subsequently detected will automatically
invalidate this offer of admission thus disqualifying your studentship of this University.

Candidates who are unable to take up their admissions should notify the University in writing asking for
deferment if they so wish not later than one month after the commencement of lectures. Failure to do so will
result in the admission lapsing.
