1 Scope and purpose


This standard applies to additive-free base oil mixtures made of refined petroleum products and/or
unconventional base oil components such as hydrocrackate, PAO, ester, etc.
By mixing the individual base oil components, the viscosity is adjusted so that the desired SAE viscosity
grade is obtained after addition of the additives (base oil + additives + viscosity index improver = 100 %).

3 Release conditions
The manufacturer, refining process, designation and base oil component shares as well as the chemical
and physical data shall be submitted with Form TUC 13.010.
Any change in the type and composition of the base oil mixture shall be notified to MAN Nutzfahrzeuge
AG, Dept. EMTA, Nuremberg works, without delay.
