(3RD COT) LESSON PLAN

FOURTH QUARTER: MODULE 3 Content Standard The learner…demonstrates understanding of biomolecules which are made mostly of a limited number of elements, such
as carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen. Together with water and a few kinds of ions, these biomolecules make up cells
and Tissues.
Lesson : BIOMOLECULES:
Carbohydrates, Lipids, Proteins, and Nucleic acids.
Performance Standard The learner… interprets food labels in terms of percentage composition in relation to the required daily intake
of carbohydrates/sugars, proteins, and fats.

Task 2: Hula Bira!


(Motivation)
2.1 The class will be divided into 4 groups, they will play hula bira, a representative
will pick a small piece of paper and act what is written on it then his/her group
mates will guess the act.
2.2 Each representative/group will be given 10 seconds to act and guess.
2.3. A perfect guess is equivalent to 3 points. All points will be total after the lesson;
the group with the highest score will have a prize.

2.2 After the activity, the students will guess the new lesson.

Task 3: Read, Talk and Learn!


(Lesson Proper)
3.1 .The classes will be divided into four (4) groups.
3.2. Each group will be given a topic to be discussed (types of biomolecules); each
member should participate in the group discussion.

Task 3: Group Dynamics!

Group 1 – Lights camera,action!

Group 2 – Draw and tell!
The group will choose a member to draw the parts of the endocrine
System and the other members will tell or guess the drawing and

The group will create a 2 paragraph poem about the topic
Being discussed. (ENGLISH)
Group 4 – Ready sing!
The group will compose a song showing the importance the
Endocrine gland . (ESP,MUSIC & ENGLISH)

Criteria:
Preparation – 15%
Achievement of objective – 35%
Imagination and creativity – 30%
Presentation – 20%
Total – 100%

 The teacher will give feedback after the presentation

Task 4: Therefore, I conclude!


The teacher will ask clarification and some questions to generalize the lesson.

Task 5: Short quiz

In your science notebook, write the effects of hormones in the body.
