Cetamine® G817
All-Organic Corrosion Inhibitor for Steam Generators and
Boiler Systems in the Food Industry
Principal Applications: Appearance: clear to slightly turbid, colorless to
yellowish liquid
Cetamine® G817 is an all-organic, all volatile
product to prevent corrosion in steam generators
and boiler systems by formation of a protective Density (20°C/68°F): 0.98 ± 0.03 g/cm 3

The dosage has to be adjusted until a pH value

higher than 8.8 has established in the steam and
condensate system while the maximum
concentration of CFA must be ≤ 0.5 g/m³ in the
whole system.

Application:

It is recommended to dose Cetamine® G817

continuously into the low pressure part of the
feedwater line.

®
Cetamine G817 should be injected by means of
an automatic dosing system regulated by the
volume of make-up water.

Cetamine® G817 should be dosed pure, without

dilution. If the dosage of the undiluted product is
not possible Cetamine® G817 can be diluted with
di-water. In this case stirring of the solution must
be realized.
All parts of the dosing equipment coming into
contact with the product must be made of PE,
PVC, EPDM or Teflon. The concentrated
product is not compatible with Viton.

Cetamine® G817 is intended for industrial use

only.

Storage:

Cetamine® G817 should be kept at temperatures

between 15 and 30 °C, in tightly closed
containers.

Analysis:

The CFA content can be determined by the

Kurita Water Solutions “Cetamine® Photometric
Method (A18)” or the “Cetamine® Test Kit”.
