1 SCOPE
THIS DOCUMENT COVERS THE TECHNICAL AND DESIGN REQUIREMENTS IN A FORM OF DATASHEET FOR THE LV SWITCHGEAR
INSTALLED IN PROJECT FACILITIES OF FERRUKA-HARARE PIPELINE SERIES OPERATION.

2 GENERAL NOTES

1) * - DATA BY VENDOR
2) THE SWITCHGEAR SHALL BE RATED TO OPERATE SATISFACTORILY UNDER AN AMBIENT TEMPERATURE OF 37°C AND SHALL BE
CAPABLE OF OPERATING AT 50°C FOR A PERIOD OF FOUR (4) HOURS, DURING THE FAILURE OF AIR-CONDITIONING WITHOUT
AFFECTING ITS LIFE SPAN AS WELL AS ITS PERFORMANCE.
3) CT, PT BURDEN & ACCURACY CLASS TO BE VERIFIED AND SELECTED BY VENDOR INCLUDING BASIS OF CALCULATION.
4) VENDOR TO FURNISH CATALOG DETAILS OF CIRCUIT BREAKER, RELAY ETC.
5) VENDOR TO FURNISH INSPECTION AND TEST PLAN, FACTORY ACCEPTANCE TEST PROCEDURE.
6) VENDOR TO SUBMIT TYPE TEST CERTIFICATES FOR SWITCHGEAR, FOR PURCHASER'S REVIEW.
7) UNIT RATES FOR ADDITION / DELETION OF VARIOUS FEEDERS SUCH AS INCOMER, OUTGOING MOTOR FEEDERS ETC. FOR DIFFERENT
CONTINUOUS AND SHORT CIRCUIT RATING SHALL BE PROVIDED.
8) ALL STATUS SIGNAL CONTACTS SHALL BE VOLT- FREE CONTACTS. COMMANDS AND STATUS SIGNALS SHALL BE WIRED UPTO
MARSHALLING CABINET PROVIDED IN EACH SHIPPING SECTION. INTERPANEL WIRING SHALL BE DONE BY VENDOR.
9) EMERGENCY TRIPPING FACILITY FROM ESD SYSTEM SHALL BE INCORPORATED IN THE WIRING DIAGRAM.
10) LANGUAGE OF DOCUMENTS AND LANGUAGE ON EQUIPMENT SHALL BE ENGLISH.
11) VENDOR SHALL FURNISH 230V AC NON UPS POWER REQUIREMENT FOR PANEL / MOTOR SPACE HEATER ALONG WITH BID.
12) VENDOR SHALL FURNISH 110V AC UPS POWER REQUIREMENT FOR CLOSING COIL, TRIPPING COIL, SPRING CHARGING MOTOR,
RELAYS, BREAKER CONTROL SUPPLY, ETC.
13) NORMAL IDENTIFICATION LABELS SHALL BE IN WHITE BACKGROUND WITH ENGRAVED BLACK LETTER.
14) WARNING & DANGER LABELS SHALL BE IN RED BACKGROUND WITHENGRAVED WHITE LETTER IN ENGLISH.
15) RATINGS SHALL BE UPDATED BY THE CONTRACTOR BASED ON FINAL VENDOR DATA DURING DETAILED ENGINEERING.
16) MANUAL CHARGING HANDLE SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR MANUALLY CHARGING THE SPRING.
17) VENDOR SHALL PROVIDE SUITABLE SURGE ARRESTORS IN ALL CIRCUITS WHERE REQUIRED.
18) FOR UNIT PROTECTION (TRANSFORMER DIFFERENTIAL AND RESTRICTED EARTH FAULT) SCHEMES, SWITCHGEAR VENDOR SHALL
CO-ORDINATE WITH EQUIPMENT SUPPLIER FOR PROPER MATCHING OF CURRENT TRANSFORMER
19) MIMIC DIAGRAM SHALL BE SHOWN ON EACH SWITCHGEAR PANEL.
20) VENDOR SHALL INDICATE HEAT LOAD OF THE SWITCHGEAR IN THE BID.
