Eger city:
Eger is an important educational and cultural center, it
is home to one of Hungary's largest basilicas, the Eger
Cathedral, and many other famous monuments and
museums, of which the Eger Castle stands out. Eger –
Budapest distance is 139km.
•Egri vár (Eger castle):

The Eger Castle is a building of great historical


signifiance: in 1552, István Dobó (Hungarian leader)
beat back the sultan’s army led by the vizier Ahmed,
which was about thirty times superior.
•Dobó István tér (Dobó István square):
Dobó István tér is the main square of Eger’s historic
downtown.
•Egri Főszékesegyház (Eger Cathedral):
The Eger Saint John the Apostle and Evangelist, Saint Michael
the Archangel, Immaculate Conception Cathedral Basilica is
the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Eger, one of the largest
churches in Hungary. It was built between 1831 and 1836 in a
classicist style based on the designs of József Hild
•Egri minaret (The minaret of Eger):
The minaret belonged to the former Kethuda mosque. It is 40
meters high, built around 1596, and its peak is from 1896.
There are 98 spiral stairs up to the balcony, which offers a
beautiful view of the city. After the surrender, they wanted to
knock him down with 400 oxen. The minaret dates back to
the XVII. the northernmost monument of 19th-century
Turkish architecture still standing today. The muezzin - from
the terrace of the minaret - called the faithful to prayer five
times a day.
•Minorita templom (Minorita church):
The Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Eger (often a Minorite
church) is the defining building of Dobó István tér, the second
largest church in the city after the main cathedral, and the
third largest church in Heves County after the main cathedral
and St. Bertalan Church in Gyöngyös.
Budapest city:

The capital of Hungary, as well as the largest and most


populous settlement, is currently the 9th largest city in the
European Union.

•Országház, or Parlament (House of the


country): The Parliament House is one of Budapest's
best-known public buildings, the seat of the Parliament and
some of its institutions, the Parliament Library.

•Halászbástya (Fishing Bastion):
The Fisherman's Bastion is one of Budapest's best-known
monuments, located in the Buda Castle, in the 1st district of
Budapest. It is one of the most important tourist attractions
due to the unique panorama of Budapest that can be seen
from the neo-Roman observation terraces.
•Mátyás templom (Matthias church):
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in
Budavar, better known as the Matthias Church, less often the
Coronation Church in Budavar, is a monument building with a
long history, standing on Szentáromság square in the 1st
district of Budapest. Two ruling parties were crowned within
its walls: Ferenc József and Erzsébet, and IV. Károly and Zita.
•Hősök tere (Heroes square):
Hősök tere is Budapest's largest and most influential square of
the 14th century. district, the Millennium Monument is located
here. Hősök tere, together with Andrássy út lying in front of it,
is part of the world heritage.
•Magyar Állami Operaház (Hungarian
State Opera House):
The Hungarian State Opera House is the only theater in
Hungary with a large troupe and specifically specializing in
operas and ballets. The building is one of Budapest's most
significant 19th-century monuments. It was built in Neo-
Renaissance style based on the designs of Miklós Ybl.
Renowned Hungarian artists, including Than Mór, Károly
Lotz and Bertalan Székely, collaborated in the design of the
richly decorated interior spaces
•Szent István-Bazilika (The Saint
Stephen’s Basilica):
The Szent István-Basilica, also known as the parish church of
Lipótváros) is a Neo-Renaissance style basilica minor church
in Budapest's 5th district, Lipótváros. It is one of the most
significant church buildings in Hungary, the co-cathedral of
the Archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest next to the Esztergom
Basilica. The building is named after the founder of the
Hungarian state, Szent István, whose intact right hand, the
Szent Jobb, is preserved here as a relic. With a height of 96
meters, it is one of the tallest buildings in the country, the
second tallest building in the capital after the Mol Campus and
next to the Parliament.
•Budai vár (Buda castle):
Buda Castle, the emblematic architectural masterpiece of our
cityscape, is located on Szent György Square. From the 13th
century, it hosted the Hungarian kings; from this period, the
medieval walls and some buildings survived, but in the 19th
century it was significantly remodeled based on the designs of
Miklós Ybl and Alajos Hauszmann.
•Magyar Nemzeti Múzeum (The
Hungarian National Museum):
The Hungarian National Museum, often referred to as the
"National Museum" in Hungarian public discourse, is a
national museum that collects and presents the memories of
Hungarian history. Its main building is Budapest VIII. district,
on Museum Boulevard. The museum's classicist-style building
was built between 1837-47, designed by architect Mihály
Pollack, and founded by Count Ferenc Széchényi.

•Esztergom city:
Esztergom is a developed industrial, school and port city in the
county of Komárom-Esztergom, on the right bank of the Duna
river, a city with county rights, the seat of the Esztergom
district. The city in today's sense was created in 1895 by
merging the free royal city of Esztergom and the neighboring
settlements of Érseki Víziváros, Szenttamás and
Szentgyörgymező. Budapest – Esztergom distance is 48km.

•Esztergomi Bazilika (Esztergom


Basilica):
Esztergom Basilica is a classicist and ancient Egyptian style
basilica in the city of Esztergom, the cathedral of the
Archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest. Construction 1822–
1869.

•Esztergomi vár (Esztergom Castle):


The castle of Esztergom stands on a rise on the right bank of
the Duna river, more than fifty meters high, bounded by
precipitous side walls, in the old town of Esztergom in the
Komárom-Esztergom county. The castle is a place of
outstanding importance in the medieval history of Hungary.
