1 Version
These release notes describe the changes, fixes, known issues, and release details that apply
to NetApp DTA2800 devices, BIOS version 6.0.0.5. The following software version is required
to operate with this BIOS:
NetApp DTA Manager Version 3.0.0 (build 3 or later).

1.1 Current version details

The following fix was made to the BIOS between versions 6.0.0.3 and 6.0.0.5:
Corrected a problem where the BIOS would incorrectly determine that the real time clock (RTC)
contained an invalid value in the hour field and therefore reset the RTC time and date to a
default value (the BIOS build date). This problem occurred intermittently when the DTA2800
was power-cycled or a blade was reset or rebooted.

1.2 Installing the BIOS using Telnet

To install the DTA2800 BIOS using Telnet, follow these steps:
1. Download the DTA2800 BIOS version 6.0.0.5 to your workstation from the NetApp

2. Change to the directory where the BIOS image file is located.
3. Unzip the BIOS file before proceeding to the next step.
4. Transfer the image from your workstation to the DTA device. For example:
