Outcome of the Industry-Academic Meet : following suggestions have evolved during the
discussions which would be taken forward so as to get some concrete results of such industry
academia interaction :
 Continuity to such efforts by involving the same experts was discussed. These expert
resource persons are ready to contribute towards grooming of the students. They would
revisit the college on different occasions and can guide the students in future. But the
initiative needs to be taken by the student and the demand for such interaction, guidance,
mentoring, grooming should be driven by the students.
 Database of students : database of students need to be made so that whenever the
companies approach, the same can be shared. This database should also include the
preferences of the students and their skillset. This would facilitate the placing companies.
 Self Help Groups of Students for improving communication : as improving oral and
written communication needs to be improved, this can be done by the students
themselves by forming their self help groups. They can conduct some reading, writing
workshops so as to improve their vocabulary and confidence of communicating in
English. A student facilitator or a teacher could rectify their common mistakes and induce
them for practicing communication in English.
