Italian For Beginners A1
This course aims at giving basic aspects of Italian grammar and combines speaking,
writing, reading and listening skills for general purposes. It is orientated for academically
trained learners who are willing to learn (a) foreign language(s) and acquire basic
command of the Italian language.
Target group: all students, in priority students from “Bachelor en Cultures Européennes”
Teaching language: Italian (with recourse to French and/or English when needed)
Description
Italian language course for beginners. The objective is the acquisition of basic
grammatical rules and structures, as well as oral and written skills. Students are involved
in learning the basic grammar of Italian language as well as speaking, listening, writing
and reading by communicative activities in individual and/or pair and/or group work.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
learn and use the main grammatical structures of the Italian written and oral
system as well as of its basic linguistic functions
greet people
introduce, describe and provide personal information about themselves
express themselves in a very simple way in everyday short conversation
talk about their daily routine and leisure activities
invite/ accept /refuse an invitation
ask for information in different life contexts
understand simple written texts and answer to simple questions about them et/or
briefly summarize them
write a short and simple letter or text
