    SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN RESOLUTION No. 7 series of 2020

    A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN OF ALAGAO, SAN ILDEFONSO


    BULACAN, Hon. JOHN RHEY L. MENDOZA, SK CHAIRPERSON, AND PATRICIA ANNE S. REYES,
    SK TREASURER TO OPEN A CHECKING/CURRENT ACCOUNT – CASE TO CASE GOV’T
    INTEREST BEARING - IN THE PHILIPPINE VETERANS BANK – BALIUAG BRANCH, BALIUAG
    BULACAN; LIKEWISE, TO BE THE OFFICIAL SIGNATORIES OF THE SANGGUNIANG
    KABATAAN OF BARANGAY ALAGAO.

    WHEREAS, RA 10742 and its IRR, also known as Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015, states that “ten
    percent (10%) of the general fund of the barangay shall be set aside for the SK. Such funds shall be disbursed in
    accordance with the provisions of RA10742, RA7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991, and the RA 9184 or
    the Government Procurement Reform Act and such other pertinent rules and regulations.”

    WHEREAS, it is also mandated by the SK Reform Act of 2015 that “…the SK shall have financial independence
    in its operations, disbursements and encashment of their funds, income and expenditures. As such, the SK funds
    shall be deposited in the name of the SK of the concerned barangay in a government-owned bank situated in or
    nearest to its area of jurisdiction with the SK Chairperson and the SK Treasurer as the official signatories.”

    WHEREAS, Hon. JOHN RHEY L. MENDOZA was elected by the Katipunan ng Kabataan to be the SK
    Chairperson and PATRICIA ANNE S. REYES was appointed to be the SK Treasurer of barangay Alagao;

    NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Kristine Jhoy Babanta, SK Councilor, duly seconded by all the
    members present, it was,

    RESOLVED, as it hereby resolves, to authorize the Sangguniang Kabataan of Alagao to open a checking/current
    account - case to case gov’t interest bearing - with the Philippine Veterans Bank – Baliuag Branch;

    RESOLVED FURTHER, to authorize Hon. John Rhey L. Mendoza, SK Chairperson, and Patricia Anne S. Reyes,
    SK Treasurer to be the official signatories of the said account;

    RESOLVED FURTHER, to furnish copies of this resolution to the Barangay Chairperson, the SK Federation,
    Local Youth Development Officer, and to the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DIL) Officer, this
    Municipality, for their information.
