Volvo
Uses different VB gaskets than GM type.
Differential is a different ratio than used by GM.
Input speed sensor is different than GM type even though the connector is
the same and they look the same. A GM input speed sensor on a Volvo
throws an input speed sensor code.
Volvo’s computer sends 1-3 volt less than battery voltage to the input
speed sensor (Hall effect type). GM systems do not send any voltage to
the input speed sensor (AC generator type).
EPC and shift solenoids are the same.
Must use scanner in OBDII generic mode (Global OBDII) to read codes.
Volvo term “UBAT”
“UBAT” means battery voltage.
