1. What was the real name of Rizal?


 Dr. Jose Rizal complete name is JOSE PROTACIO RIZAL MERCADO Y ALONZO REALONDA
"PEPE".
2. What is the name of his Parents?
 His parents' name is Francisco Mercado his father and Teodora Alonzo Realonda is his mother's name.
3. Describe the personality of Rizal father
 The family's patriarch and the father of Jose Rizal. He was a smart and diligent farmer who attended
Colegio de San Jose in Manila to study Latin and Philosophy. His father has a strong, bold, and
leadership-oriented personality. He inherited qualities that make a hero, such as a sense of dignity, self-
respect, seriousness, self-possession, and a strong character, from his father.
4. Describe the personality of Rizal mother
 Jose Rizal's mother was a Manilea who had attended the Colegio de Santa Rosa and was a well educated
Filipina. Teodora was a gifted woman with a command of Spanish and interests in literature, culture, and
business. She committed herself to ensuring the kids' moral development and education. Doña Theodora
is a wonderful wife and mother to her family who gave Rizal the temperament of a poet, dreamer, brave
for sacrifice, and a genius. She is clever, educated, kind, and lovely.

5. How many siblings do Rizal had, name all of them.

6. Describe the ancestral house of Rizal in Calamba


 A huge, two-story structure with a tiled roof and adobe stone walls. It contained numerous rooms,
including ones for the boys, girls, a couple, and servants' quarters. The family's dining room had a sizable
table and a sizable ceiling fan. Additionally, they maintained a library with more than a thousand Latin
and Spanish-language books. The youngsters used to play in the nipa hut, a local dwelling where the roof
was constructed of thatched cogon grass and the walls were bamboo. The house was surrounded by a lot
of fruit trees.

7. Describe the status of Rizal family


 One of the wealthiest families in Calamba was that of Rizal. They did indeed come from the principalia, a
town aristocracy in the Spanish Philippine Islands. Their primary source of income came from the
sugarcane plantation they were renting from Dominicans. The farm also had a sizable turkey farm, rice
fields, fruit-bearing trees, and coconut (copra) trees. The Rizal family was the first indigenous family in
Calamba to own a carruaje, or horse-drawn carriage. Doa Teodora, who came from a wealthy family,
enjoyed a fair amount of popularity and respect among the locals in Binan and Calamba.

8. Describe the early childhood of Rizal


 He was the sixth of Francisco Mercado and Teodora Alonzo's eleven children. Three days later, Father
Rufino Collantes baptized him at the Calamba Catholic church. He had Father Pedro Casaas as his
Ninong (godfather). Pepe, Jose's alias, quickly established himself as a child prodigy. His first instructor
was his mother. He began learning how to read the Latin and Spanish alphabets when he was just three
years old. He was taught to work quickly and effectively, to always be truthful, and to pray continuously.
All of Jose's sisters, especially Concha, who passed away from illness, are close to him. He enjoys
hearing the nanny's scary tales. But out of all the tales he narrated, "The Butterfly and the Fire" from El
Amigo de los Ninos will always stick in his memory.

9. Describe the education of Rizal in Biñan.


 Jose's parents sent him to Biñan when he was nine years old so he could finish his elementary education
there under the guidance of Maestro Justiniano Aquino Cruz. He was given ruler strikes on his palms
throughout the first few weeks of his education in Bian for his errors and bad behavior. He was able to
pursue his studies seriously because of the anguish of Maestro Justiniano's chastisement. Jose would later
be able to catch up rapidly and win numerous awards in the competitions conducted by the maestro, who
was of the old school and adhered to the tenet "Spare the rod and spoil the child." He had virtually
humiliated every Bian schoolmate.
