1. How To Make Pancake
Ingredients:
Add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a small bowl. Whisk them together.
After that, pour into a medium bowl.
Add milk, butter or oil, and egg. Mix the dry ingredients. Whisk until just moistened.
Remember, do not overmix.
Heat a cast-iron or non-stick pan. add oil. you can rub the pan with oiled paper towel.
Pour two to three tablespoons of batter onto the pan. You can use the back of the spoon to
spread the batter.
Let it cook until the surface has bubbles and a few bursts.
After that, flip the pancake carefully and wait until browned.
Serve warm and add some toppings.

Fill the bowl with water to wash the rice. Massage and mix the rice with your hands. Drain
the water. Repeat this step 2 or 3 times.
Boil 8 cups of water. chop the ginger into thin slices and chop the green onion into small
pieces.
After that, cut the chicken into thin slices. Place into a bowl to marinate. Add oyster sauce,
cornstarch, chicken stock and two tablespoons of water. Add two tablespoons of vegetable
oil and mix it for 30 seconds.
Add the rice into the boiled water from earlier. Stir the rice around a bit. Cover the pot and
wait until it’s boiling again.
Let it cook at medium heat for 30 minutes.
While waiting for rice to cook, set the stove to high heat. Add the chicken slowly. Stir
constantly around 1-2 minutes.
Add the ginger and one tablespoon of salt, and chicken stock. Stir it for around 30 seconds.
Last but not least, turn off the heat and pour the jook into the bowl. You can garnish it with
green onions, peanuts or whatever you like.

Mohammad Hatta
Every year has its great men and women who are remembered for what they have done for
their country. One of Indonesia’s great men is Dr. Mohammad Hatta. He was a man with a deep
love for his country and people.
Dr. Mohammad Hatta was born in Bukittinggi on August 12 th, 1902. While still in junior high
school in Bukittinggi, he became interested in politics and joined the League of Young Sumatrans.
He left Bukittinggi to study in Batavia. Then he went to the Netherlands. He studied
economics and gained a doctorate degree there. During his stay there he was active in the national
Movement. Because of his activities, he was arrested.
In 1923 Hatta returned to Indonesia. He joined a political organization called “Pendidikan
Nasional Indonesia”. One of its goals was to develop political awareness among the Indonesian
people. His activities again led to his arrest. The colonial government exiled him to Boven Digul, and
later to Banda Naira. Shortly before the Japanese invasion. He was brought back to Java.
When the Japanese surrendered in August 1945, Soekarno and hatta proclaimed
Indonesia’s Independence. Hatta became the first vice-president of the Republic of Indonesia.
In 1956 Hatta resigned as vice-president and devoted himself to writing. On march 14, 1981,
dr. mohammad Hatta passed away in Jakarta.
Nowadays, he is no longer living among us. However, his spirit of loving the country and
nation is one of the reason why he is well remembered.
