The insert bore collapse control is recommended after crimping operations in order to check that a correct fitting

7 – CRIMPING CONTROLS
Inspect the crimping dimension in the die-set landing area, using a vernier calipers or micrometer as follows.
For mass production crimping operations, it is recommended to use the bore collapse control procedure
HOW TO MEASURE THE BORE COLLAPSE?
(described below). Main tools suitable to measure bore collapse are the following:
Take three crimping diameter readings at 120 degrees to one another. All three readings taken in the mid-Iength of GO and NO-GO mandrels
