1st Object: First off, we have Children of the Fox! This was a book on the book bracket
and the one that won! When I first got my hands on this book, I immediately started to
read and finished the entire book in one day! Many people were left hanging on the
ending and were curious about what was going to happen next! This book brought joy
and curiosity to many of my classmates and fellow teachers and overall, it’s a good
book.
2nd Object: Now onto our second book! Ooh, what do we have here? We got
Guinevere’s Deception! This was the book in our first centre rotations. I, along with Philip
and Alice read this book and had regular book club meetings about what we thought
of the book and some of the connections that we made. These meetings made me
realize how differently people can connect to the same book and the different types of
ways that people understand figures of writing.
3rd Object: Now, we got Ocdaniel. This was the book in our second centre rotation
and I worked with people that read the book with me. This time, there were a lot more
things that we talked about because of the thorough understanding of the book and
how we learned about OCD in class. The book strengthened my knowledge of people
that have OCD and gave me an insight into what it is like to live it.
4th Object: Now we got Rescue at Lake Wild! This book was also from the Book Bracket
and I enjoyed reading this book. This book was extremely interesting to read because it
had a lot of problem-solving and investigating involved. The writer did a good job at
making me visualize the story and made me feel like I was there and solving the mystery
along with the main characters.
5th Object: Up next and oh wow! Look what we have here! We have Strong as Fire,
Fierce as Flame from the Global Read Aloud. This book has a strong memory in my brain
because I found this book extremely interesting to read you never know what is going
to happen next in the story and it feels like you are on a rollercoaster inside of a book!
There are many twists and turns and I also did a waterfall on the book. This waterfall was
extremely entertaining to write and decorate and I was intrigued by how other people
drew and decorated theirs.
6th Object: Last but not least, we have a book called The Untouchables that I read for
Bookopoly. This book was extremely fun to read because the class ( AKA The
Unteachable) was extremely fun and chaotic to read about and they had many wild
adventures that often got them in trouble. This book also made me think of how grateful
I am for my teachers because they try to teach us and how they have to deal with all
of our nonsense.
Closing: Well, that's the end of it, everybody! Thank you so much for looking at this
video and have a great and fun summer!
