Explain the MS word interface parts. Explain about following commands of MS Word.

(a)Many Microsoft Word Interface Parts are usable such as the scrollbar for scrolling up and down the
document, the minimize button for minimizing the page, the close button to close MS Word. Also, the
search bar is available for searching in MS Word.

The file tab

The file tab is used to check backstage view. This is where features for saving files, creating new
documents and printing completed documents are found. Also functions for sharing, exporting and
transforming documents are accessible here.

Ribbon tabs

These are tabs that appear the Ribbon and contain groups of related commands for example Home,
Insert and Page Layout. For example, in the Home Ribbon tab we have frequently used commands for
font size and type.

Groups

These organize related commands and tools used for editing documents. For example, group for
inserting tables, illustrations for shapes, icons and 3D models.

Dialogue Box Launcher

It is a small arrow found in the lower right corner of some groups. Clicking this arrow, a dialogue box or
task pane that provides access to additional options and settings related to the group is opened.

What is paragraph? Explain about Paragraph marks, Soft paragraph (line break) marks. Write the paragraphs and do the following.

A paragraph is a series of sentences that are organized and are all related to the same topic.

A paragraph mark is a symbol which appears on paragraphs when you switch on the paragraph function.

Soft paragraph mark is a new line between paragraphs which does not break the paragraph.
There are different types of computer systems nowadays for different purpose according to the user needs. However,
we can classify them into different groups based on different aspects. We can find four different type of computers
based on size. These are large computers that are most powerful. They can complete tasks very soon and are optimized
to complete given tasks quickly.

M ainframe Computers. These are the largest computers and can support hundreds of users simultaneously. These
are powerful computers and optimized to run maximum number of applications at one time.

These are medium sized computers – smaller than mainframe but much larger than personal computers. They can be
the best solution for medium scale organizations.

Micro Computers. Micro computers are the smallest when size is concerned.
1. They range from Desktop, Laptop up to the palm top and even smaller ones.
2. Because micro computers are developed to support single person, they are often
called personal computers (PCs).
