1. Synopsis
Pirates of the Caribbean series 5 is back again, in Indonesia with the title Pirates of
the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge, in some countries the title may be different,
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tales. This time, the witty Captain Jack
Sparrow (Johhny Deep) will be chased by his past enemy, Captain Salazar (Javier
Bardem). Jack's only hope for survival is the Trident of the Sea God Poseidon. To
get the Trident, Jack teams up with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), an astronomer
who is accused of being a witch and Henry Tunner (Benton Thwaites), a sailor who
studies ancient texts and ancient legends to save his father from the curse of the
Flying Dutcman. Can Jack, Carina and Henry find Poseidon's Trident? Can Jack
escape Captain Salazar's revenge?
2. Review (Spoiler Beware)
A boy studying ancient texts and legends, he has a goal to find the Flying Duthcman
ship. He doesn't want treasure or power, he just wants to meet his father, Will Turner
(Orlando Bloom). Yeah, he's back again, when Pirates of The Caribbean: On
Stranger Tides tasted bland, maybe Disney noticed.
The boy managed to find the Flying Dutcman ship and managed to meet his father.
The purpose he meets is to break his father's curse, but his father argues that it is
impossible and it is destiny to be cursed to become the captain of the Flying
Dutchman.
But little Henry Turner has an idea, to free his father he will find Poseidon's Trident
who has power over all the seas. His father refuses for Henry's safety, but Henry
insists he will ask Jack Sparrow for help. His father increasingly refused when he
heard the name "Jack Sparrow". Whatever Henry's reasons, Will Turner would never
agree, he left his son in the middle of the vast ocean.
10 years later, an adult Henry joins a ship of the British armed forces. The ship was
chasing a pirate ship. Henry, who has studied ancient legends, tries to remind the
captain of the ship to turn around, because the pirate ship they are chasing is
heading to the Devil Triangle. Henry was even accused of being a traitor because it
was presumptuous to command the captain and was also considered crazy for
believing in ancient legends, he was thrown into the ship's prison.
The captain of the ship persisted in pursuing the pirate ship that had entered the
Devil Triangle. Henry, who was in prison, saw from the small window the sunlight
that was initially shining brightly, became pitch black. The captain of the British ship
saw that the pirate ship he was chasing had been destroyed, he saw from a distance
another ship was approaching. Because of the fear that began to hit, the captain
ordered his troops to open fire on the mysterious ship. It was Captain Salazar's ship.
An army of ghosts massacred the British fleet, Captain Salazar appeared and killed
the captain of the British ship. Javier Bardem, the name I always remember when he
became the enemy in James Bond: Skyfall, his acting is classy in that film. In this
Pirates 5 film, his acting is still classy even though we will see his face mixed with
animation effects, like the Flying Dutchman in the second and third films.
The entire crew died, except for Henry and an old man in the ship's detention cell.
Captain Salazar walked over to Henry. The grandfather who became Henry's
cellmate was frightened to see Captain Salazar's ghost army, he was killed. Henry is
scared, but Captain Salazar promises not to kill Henry because he always lets one
living person tell a story because the dead can't tell (Dead Man Tell No Tales).
Captain Salazar asks Henry if he knows Jack Sparrow? Henry nodded, because he
happened to be looking for Jack Sparrow too. Captain Salazar sends a message to
Jack Sparrow that he and his crew have been cursed in the Devil Triangle, he and
his crew want to see the sun and get out of the Devil Triangle, the key is the
compass that Jack Sparrow has.
In a city, Carina is accused of being a witch, even though what she has been doing
all this time is scientific. In this film, a subtle satire is shown in that era, when Carina
enters a building to research Astronomy, there is an inscription on the entrance
"Women and Dogs are prohibited".
