Work Immersion

Narrative Report

I. INTRODUCTION

Work Immersion is a part of senior high school curriculum that aims to

prepare students about the work and their future career. It is a type of skill
development where they learn how to do the work through hands-on experience.

Work Immersion is one method by which students are exposed with

different work situation designed to give the Grade 12 students an opportunity to
experience and apply the theories and lessons that they have learned from Grade
11 to Grade 12. It also helps the students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills
by performing in actual work setting.

Work Immersion is very important not only to teach students regarding

their future career but also to show the students the reality about working. The
students are exposed to the actual work related to the strand that they are taking.
It allows students to work and learn the same time.

Work Immersion helps the students to learn more about her chosen strand
and practice what was thought in the school. It helps in building up the student's
competence. This Work Immersion develops one's professionalism in dealing
with people. Work Immersion will enable the student to handle situation
properly and he'll be able to know how to socialize well with his colleagues. He
will also be able to work well with everyone and he'll have a good teamwork.

Having a proper work immersion helps in the preparation of future

professionals for their future jobs. What the students learn on their work
immersion, even the little things, can be applied when they are already working.
II. ESSENCE OF REQUIREMENTS

Work Immersion has many requirements needed. Before the deployment

process, there are some important activities that we need to comply. First we
need to attend a seminar/symposium for Grade 12 students in preparation for the
immersion. We were also required to make our resume that was used during the
job application at Registrar in Occidental Mindoro National High School. We also
had a parent consent and waiver signed.

The said requirements were asked for the benefit of everyone. Those
requirements also helped us in making the work immersion to happen smoothly
and without any problem hindering it.
III. WORK IMMERSION EXPOSURE/EXPERIENCE

The experience that I gathered in my work immersion is priceless. This is

something that I will treasure and will always be thankful of.

I learned that working is not easy, and it will be more difficult if you are not
dedicated in what you are doing. Even if we are just students who are having an
immersion in a certain workplace , we still need to be responsible at anything
that we do because it will always reflect to our teacher and to our school. I also
realized that even if you are already a professional, attitude is still the best asset
that a person should have in order to succeed.

My experience in my work immersion open my eyes in the real world that I

am going to face soon. Within that 60 hours, I learned so much, I learned the most
relevant things, and for that I will always be thankful to our teachers who let us
experience such wonderful part of our senior high school year.
IV. ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION

As a work immersion student, we are expected to perform different tasks,

we need to do our work excellently. When we transfer to our office which is
Registrar at Occidental Mindoro National High School, the employees are ver
welcoming, kind, and courageable. When the employees have nothing much to
do, they talk to us, and even shared some ideas and tips when we enter college. I
can that my best working experience is at Registrar office. If I were to rate them,
I'd say it's excellent.
