7.2 Domain
The term domain can refer either to local subnetwork or to
descriptors for sites on the Internet.
On a LAN, a domain is a subnetwork made up of a group of
clients and servers under the control one central security
database.
Within a domain, users authenticate once to a centralized
server known as a domain controller, rather than
repeatedly authenticating to individual servers and services.
Individual servers and services accept the user based on the
approval of the domain controller.

7.2.1 Installing OS Updates
After OS is installed on a system the next important task is to
install all security updates.
Updates
Software updates, also known as patches, are released for a
variety of reasons.
A patch upgrades a piece of software to the latest version with
new features in the software.
An update will improve an application’s stability.
An update is issued to fix a bug or security hole within the
program.
Windows
Run Windows Update and follow the instructions for installing
any of the updates that may appear.

The first version of any OS contains bugs and errors. As
people use the OS, new requirements keep coming up.

Windows updates can be configured to install either
automatically or manually. Windows 10 automatically downloads
and installs all updates. If a driver or update causes problems,
you can uninstall it and block Windows from downloading it
again.

Start the Computer Browser service
From Start menu, right-click My Computer, and then click
Manage.
Double-click Services and Applications.
Double-click Services.
On the right side, right-click Computer Browser, and then click
Start.
Close the Computer Management window.
7.3.2 Install File and Print Sharing and make sure that it is
not blocked by Windows Firewall Step
1: Install File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks
From Start menu, run the command ncpa.cpl.
Right-click Local Area Connection, and then click Properties.
Click the General tab, and then click Install.
Click Service, and then click Add.
In the Network Service list, click File and Print Sharing for
Microsoft Networks, and then click OK.
Click Close.
Step 2:
Make sure that File and Printer Sharing is not blocked by
Windows Firewall.
Reason:
The folder ownership has changed.
You do not have the appropriate permissions.
The file is encrypted.

To take ownership of a file or folder:
Right-click the folder and then click Properties.
On the Security tab, click Advanced and then click Change.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for
confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Type the name of the person that you want to give ownership
to, and then click Check Names.
Note: The account name for the person that you are assigning
ownership to is displayed.
Click OK.
If you want this person to be the owner of the files and
subfolders that are contained in this folder, select the Replace
owner on sub-containers and objects check box. Click OK.

To determine whether a file or folder is encrypted:
Right-click the file or folder, and then click Properties.
Click the General tab, and then tap or click Advanced.
All the documents are stored on the cloud and changes made
to the documents are automatically synchronized on all devices.
In addition, the user can open and edit files when his computer
is not connected to the Internet. As soon as his computer is
online, the changes made to the files will be automatically synced
with the files stored on the cloud, making the latest changes
available to all the people who can access them. Offline Access

One of the most commonly used free file sharing site is
WeTransfer.
WeTransfer lets you upload files up to two GBs and needs
no registration. You can store files using WeTransfer but they
limit the storage period up to two weeks.
All you need is an email address (yours and the people that
you want to share the files with) and the files you want to share.
