NEEDS EXPERIENCED ENGINEERING PROFESSIONALS (CIVIL) on FTA Basis

BHEL, India’s Premier Engineering Organisation provides world class products and services for
the core sectors of Indian economy viz., Power Generation and Transmission, Industry,
Transportation, Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy, Defence etc. It has a wide network of 16
manufacturing divisions, 4 Power Sector Regional Centres, 8 Service Centres, 15 Regional
Offices, 4 Overseas Offices and a large number of project sites spread across the country and
abroad.
BHEL, Power Sector – Southern Region is looking for experienced Engineers and Supervisors
in Civil discipline to be engaged purely on Fixed Tenure Basis for its 5 x 800 MW Yadadri TPS
Project at Nalgonda, Telangana as per details given below.

Engineer Full-Time Bachelor’s Minimum of 2 Years’ post qualification experience in the
(FTA-Civil) Degree in following area:
Engineering/Technology Experience:
in Civil Engg. OR 5 Year Experience in execution of Reinforced Cement Concrete
Integrated Master’s Structures (RCC) / Structural Steel Fabrication and Erection
degree OR Dual Degree Work / Piling Work / RCC Chimney in Infrastructural
Programme in Industries such as Power Plant, Steel Plant, Cement Plant,

 Engineering or Refineries, Petro-Chemicals or any other Large Scale
Technology in Civil Industrial / Infrastructure Projects.

University/Institute with Project Execution capabilities with good ability on project

The candidates selected for the above post will be paid an all-inclusive monthly consolidated
remuneration as follows:

Selection Process:
For consideration, eligible candidates will be invited for Personal Interview in the ratio upto 1:10 to
the number of vacancies. In case of receipt of more no. of eligible applications beyond the ratio of
1:10, shortlisting for interview will be done in the ratio 1:10 on the basis of qualifying marks in the
relevant qualification of Degree/Diploma in Civil, as the case may be.

General Instructions:
1. The posts are purely temporary in nature and offered on fixed tenure basis for a
maximum period of One year or completion of project whichever is earlier. This post
is not against any permanent vacancy. This placement will not entitle the candidate
for any regular / permanent employment in BHEL in future.

2. Candidates should possess the required Job Specifications as on 01.05.2023.

3. Candidates not having relevant 2-year post qualification experience in areas mentioned
under “Work Experience & Capabilities” need not apply. (Note: 2 Year Post Qualification
experience should be exclusive of Trainee/Apprenticeship period, if any)

4. Candidates should be able to furnish their relevant Degree / Diploma and Post Qualification
Work-Experience certificates along with application form and in original at the time of
Interview. If candidates fail to submit original documents at the time of interview, they will
not be allowed to attend interview.

6. SC, ST, OBC (NCL), PWBD, J&K Domiciled Candidates and Ex-Servicemen should

7. OBC candidates who do not belong to Non-Creamy Layer should submit their application

10. The envelop comprising the above documents should be super-scribed as “Application
for the Post of Engineer (FTA-Civil) or Supervisor (FTA-Civil)” as the case may be.

11. Candidates are advised to possess a valid e-mail ID which is to be entered in the online
application Form. They are also advised to retain this e-mail ID active for at least one year
as any important intimation to the candidates shall be provided by BHEL through e-mail.
They are further requested to check their e-mails regularly for any communication from
BHEL in this regard.

12. Candidates invited for personal interview will be reimbursed to and fro actual fare limited to
Second class train fare from the starting station or mailing address whichever is nearer to
the place of interview by the shortest route on production of proof of journey.

13. Candidates employed in Govt./Semi Govt/PSU/Autonomous Body shall be required to

apply through proper channel or produce “No objection Certificate” at the time of interview.
However, in the event of difficulty, they may send the application directly and produce the
relieving order from their organisation in the event of selection.

14. Candidates working as FTA in any of BHEL Unit/Division/Region shall be required to submit
“No Objection Certificate” from the respective BHEL Office, along with the application.

15. Candidates should be of sound health. On selection, their appointment will be subject to
medical examination by Company’s Doctor/Authorised Medical Practitioners/PTMO as per
BHEL Medical Attendance Rules.

17. Candidates are required to enclose self-certified copies of all the relevant documents
in support of date of Birth, Qualification, Experience, Category Certificate, PwBD
certificate (if applicable), J&K Domicile Certificate (if applicable) along with their
applications. However, supporting documents in original as prescribed will be
required for verification at the time of interview.

18. Candidates should ensure that they fulfil the essential eligibility criteria prescribed for the
post for which they are applying. In case it is found at any stage of the selection process or
even after appointment that the candidate has furnished false or incorrect information or
suppressed any relevant information/material facts or does not fulfil the essential eligibility
criteria, his/her candidature / service are liable for rejection/termination without notice.

19. For the purpose of calculating aggregate marks, all subjects appearing in the mark sheet
of all semesters shall be considered. For a 10-point scale, equivalent marks shall be
determined as per calculation shared by the University/ Institute or by multiplying the GPA
by 10. In all other cases, GPA shall be converted to a 10 Point scale and then multiplied by
10. Proof of norms adopted by the University/ Institute to convert CGPA/OGPA/DGPA into
percentage is to be submitted along with the Application Form.

 20. All the candidates obtaining same cut-off marks in respective category shall also be called
for interviews.

21. BHEL reserves the right to cancel/ restricts/enlarge/ reopen the recruitment process, if the
need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereof.

22. No correspondence will be entertained with the candidates not selected for interview /
appointment.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED:
Self-certified copies of the following documents shall be submitted along with application.
1. Aadhar Card/ Class 10 Certificate / Passport for Date of Birth/ DOB certificate

2. Category Certificate i.e. SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) on Government prescribed

format. OBC Certificate should not be more than one-year-old from the date of application
to BHEL as per the format prescribed by Government of India and self-undertaking for OBC
(Non-Creamy Layer) status in the prescribed format, valid PWBD certificate, Discharge
certificate in case of Ex-Servicemen if applicable.

3. Final Consolidate Mark Sheet in support of educational qualification (Wherever

CGPA/OGPA/DGPA or Letter Grade in Degree/Diploma is awarded, Proof of norms
adopted by the University/ Institute to convert CGPA/OGPA/DGPA into percentage is to be
submitted along with the Application Form)

4. Certificate for Diploma (or) Graduation / Post Graduation

5. If claiming age relaxation as candidates from J&K, relevant certificate.

6. Candidates are required to produce duly stamped Medical certificate in relation to their
disability from Govt. Hospital or Medical Board attached to Special Employment exchange
for the Handicapped.

7. DOCUMENTS IN SUPPORT OF DURATION OF WORK EXPERIENCE: Offer of

Appointment (or) Joining Order with relevant salary slips / Experience Certificate issued by
the Employers.

a) Joining-Relieving Letter from Company/Organisation.

b) Experience/Service Certificate issued by Company/Organisation (Experience
Certificates produced should clearly indicate date of joining and date of relieving from
each organisation where worked)
c) Salary Certificate together with ITR or Form-16 issued by present / past employers(s).

All the above documents shall be produced in original for verification at the time of
interview. If any of the documents are not produced by the candidates at the time of
interview for verification, then he or she will neither be allowed to appear for the interview
nor any fare reimbursed to him/her.
