This passage from Psalms contrasts the righteous with the wicked. It states that blessed are those who do not follow the ways of sinners, but instead delight in God's teachings. The righteous are likened to a tree planted by streams of water that bears fruit and stays green, meaning their lives are prosperous. In contrast, the wicked are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore, the wicked will not stand during judgment or among the assembly of the righteous, for the Lord watches over the righteous but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
